So if Gruden is fired this offseason who do we go after? Urban Meyer? Jim Harbaugh? I’d love to lure Bill Cower out of retirement
Excellent as usual:
Preston Smith Praise
He’s played well the last 3 games but was pretty much non existent the first half of the season. Signing guys like him that can make a play every now and then but isn’t consistent is the reason this team is this way. You know what would help our corners? A consistent edge rush. I know I pick on the guy but there are a dozen guys on the team that aren’t producing, PS and his zero sacks was an easy target thru 8 games. I’m tired of hearing about a players upside without production. Orakpo looked like a beast but had something like 5 career sacks against the NFC east. We don’t miss him. If we don’t have an elite QB, we need an elite pass rusher not 8-10 sack seasons. Von Miller took Denver to the Super Bowl and stole that game. The Bears and Mack are playing well. We shouldn’t settle for the Alex Smith of Pass rushers. Btw, Trent Murphy: 3 sacks Orakpo 1 sack Edge rusher might be the most important position on the defense, we shouldn’t settle for just a guy. Ionnidis has 7.5sacks and is an interior lineman. We should extent that guy. |

I agree with you on this. We need someone involved in today’s game. |
Dallas postgame
Cowher? Why? Have we learned anything from the other Gruden?
Cowher is completely different. He built the Steelers himself. In his 15 years they had 13 winning seasons, and had them in the playoffs 10 years, 8 division titles, 2 Super Bowl appearances, 161-99 record. Cowher was one of the toughest on his players but loved and respected at the same time. Gruden inherited a team, luckily won a Super Bowl and sucked after that. He’s built nothing. His record was a paltry 101-98. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: Dallas postgame
So who are some candidates the Skins should look at if the Allen and Gruden are fired?

Dallas postgame
How about Saints Offensive Coordinator Peter Carmichael? He was also the previous quarterbacks coach.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I think at least internally, Eric Schaeffer(spelling?) and Kyle Smith are excellent folks to move up to GM / President roles. I have heard that the feeling within the organization is that those guys are either going to get promoted or plucked. No clue about who the head coach would be.. I would think with Bruce gone, the job would look much more attractive than it does now. |

He would also bring back Haslett as our DC.
Took the words out of my mouth. We might as well bring back ol' Sonny J' as HC. Can we hire somebody who has been in the game as of this year? FFS. |
Re: Dallas postgame
I might be wrong but I think Doug handles most of the GM duties. To me it would be logical to have him step into the roll that Allen is doing as well.

I heard Allen got Smith before anyone knew. That tells me Bruce is still acting as the GM and making personnel moves. Doug is just a front to appease the fans Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Doug is not just a front.

So Allen is allowing Doug to handle all GM and personnel moves? Why did Allen take it upon himself to get Alex Smith before telling anyone? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: Dallas postgame
John Harbaugh if Baltimore let's him go. I'd take him over Jim

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
No I didn’t say he handles everything, it’s more of a team effort with Doug, Allen, Gruden, and Kyle Smith |
