Like I’ve said before, if you don’t support locking up folks caught with an illegal gun the first time with mandatory sentences then you actually don’t care about gun violence in this country. As all the data shows, the majority of people who commit gun crime illegally posses the fire arm. Start here and enforce the laws on the books.

Also, why can’t social media accounts with Twitter, Facebook, etc have an algorithm that alerts when pictures of weapons with posts of threats? Seems like we could do more here.

My daughter is their age, her and her friends are just so innocent. I can't even spank my kids.

Think of this, all those kids did yesterday is go to school, they hurt no one, they didn't even know the 18 year old that came to their school and killed them. Politics has to be put aside by all and come up with a solution.

I have three Teachers in the family and have "help" them fortify their classrooms but there are no weapons ,none. They do have plans and lock down scenarios. Yet what do these Teachers do when the children are outside playing?

All the “Defund the Police” folks who agreed with removing police and resource officers at schools…you have had 288 shooting at schools this year and now this.

I pray for Parents like you, seriously I do. My parents never had this worry and I never had to sit down with my kids and talk to them about shootings at school Now the Teachers in my family are going to have to talk to the children in their class's about what happen and "reassure them" that things will be fine. Truth is unless politics can be put aside it will never be fine.

My kids literally practice drills for school shooters. If you ask my daughter she will rap off the whole list of stuff she is suppose to do in the event of a shooter.

I can't imagine being ten and knowing at your school someone could possible come in and shoot you some day.

This is what I don't understand. What makes someone so broken and sadistic that this can ever be a possibility? And how do we identify and help these people or if help is not an option, get them off the streets?

It's hard to find a solution to identifying the .1% of sick fucks we have in a country of 300+ million people, and monitoring them forever and taking whatever action is needed.
