I wouldn't sign him unless the current guys go down. According to Pro Football Focus, he was the 52nd rated tackle (out of 76 rated) and has a host of issues.
Could the Baltimore Ravens Part Ways with LT Bryant McKinnie? | Bleacher Report The Ravens apparently have O-Line issues at tackle and for them to cut him is pretty bad. Later in the year, if need be, we can pick him up. Me? I prefer we go straight out of Compton for depth at tackle.
Thanks for the info. I'm pretty sure Polumbus wasnt rated at all, and if he were, he'd be around 200. I know McKinnie isnt "ideal" for our scheme, but he's got to be heads and shoulders better than what we have now. |
Re: Official Cuts from Around the NFL Thread
For a guy that's had issues with conditioning and his weight, a zone scheme where the lineman are constantly on the move probably isn't the best fit.

David Garrard...no longer a Dolphin.

Re: Official Cuts from Around the NFL Thread
And just like that, the Ravens and McKinnie agree to a contract restructure so he stays a Raven

That sucks seemed like the front runner when the camp started and a good family guy. I am assuming his injury got him cut which he did while playing with his kids. |
Re: Official Cuts from Around the NFL Thread
Tannehill probably would have won the job anyway. They're not going anywhere this year, might as well get RT the experience.

$20M in cap room for grossman
Is that kind of deal allowed? That would be nice especially with Mara and Goodell's BS collusion penalty. I like the Sex Cannon, and I'd trade him for that. |
Re: Official Cuts from Around the NFL Thread
should be enough to nullify next season's cap penalty, wouldn't that be nice.
