Re: Redemption Week!!
I cant remember whom on ESPN I heard talk about this last year, I think it was John Clayton, who said how Vick was acting now was not as telling as how he acted once he was a super star again. I think Vick is acting entitled and arrogant and I think that is who he actually is. I was all for giving Vick a second chance and letting the dog fighting thing go, but he is starting to act like a spoiled rich kid again.
Well i really wouldnt expect anything different. Majority act entitled and arrogant. I know alotta people say vick vick vick as a problem with the eagles...granted he hasnt been great, pretty average. But the blame to me would be the Oline and the entire defense. |
Re: Redemption Week!!
This is a game that will tell us a lot about the 2011 Washington Redskins.
There is no question that the Skins are a better team this year than they were last year -- or the two years prior to last year. They have more talent; they are more focused; they are more of a team. The question that remains about the 2011 Redskins is:
Just how good are they?
One thing that good teams do in the NFL is this:
When they face either an inferior opponent or an opponent that is having internal troubles, a good NFL team will stomp on the throat of that kind of opponent and never let them be "in the game".
I am not looking for the Skins to win 59-28 to avenge last year. But they need to win this game decisively and to control it from the opening kickoff if they are going to be seen as something other than merely "improved over last year". |

Agreed. Not a fan of Vick for many, many reasons, but he is not the reason the Eagles are failing. He's not helping matters with some untimely INT's and fumbles. Throw in the pouting and he is doing his fair share to the total fail. In many ways, Vick is the same player he has always been - some amazing feats of athleticism, some great performanes followed by very average (or worse) performances with some poor decision making thrown in for good measure. At the same time, their O-Line sucks, their LB's suck and their DC appears to be in over his head. I am hoping that the wheels of the car are coming off and that they are not just circling the wagons to fight it out through the end of the season. I read somewhere that the Eagles last couple opponents were not known for getting pressure and the Eagles O-Line was stilled over matched. Here's hoping that Kerrakpo simply overwhelm them. |

Literally. And suddenly he's running the D of a team that has Super Bowl aspirations heading into the season? WTF? I don't get that at all. |

The loss of JJ hit that organization hard. JJ was the man, Dick Lebeau-like |
Re: Redemption Week!!
Hightower and Cooley are questionable. Looks like Torain might be starting afterall.
ok, if you said "some bad luck" that would make sense, but to put all of it on "bad luck" is way off. It's not "bad luck" that has their DEs & OLBs have given up crucial plays by losing outside containment. It's not "bad luck" that Vick has been hit hard many times & it wasn't "bad luck" when Vick threw a ball away at the end of the half last week as the clock ran out & they didn't get a fg attempt.
Your right,I agree with you |
Re: Redemption Week!!

Agreed. See 4th Quarter against D. Ware... |

I think they moved Ware over and had an overloaded side. I would like to see us do that with Orakpo outside of Kerrigan, and maybe have Landry on the other side ready to smack Vick as he tries to escape. |

bad news
hmmm. I know the debate over Hall, but I wonder if his being gone might be a good thing this particular week. If he is out, it will keep us from getting burned as we may be less willing to single up on their threats. As I've said, my biggest fear are the big burns, not the dink and dunk that we might see if Hall doesn't play. But I could be wrong ;) |
