Home Playoff Game?

If we win the division, will we have a home playoff game during the wildcard round? If we win and the Giants lose, we end up as the fourth seed in the NFC (see http://www.superbowl.com/playoffs/features/seeding/nfc). Wouldn't that mean we would host the fifth seed - which could be NY, Tampa, Carolina, or Dallas depending on week 17 results? No one seems to be talking about the possibility of a home game - and the Redskins haven't asked season ticket holders to send in checks, as they have in years past when a home playoff game was a possibility.

We haven't talked about it because we still have one game left. We have to beat Philly before we even think about winning our division. One game at a time.

That being said....if we have a home playoff game...it would sweet!

I don't like it when people look past the task at hand. I realize the Eagles don't have their three big stars, but it's still the Eagles and it's the Eagles in Philadelphia. That is always a tough game for us to win no matter who's playing. We need to concentrate on the Eagles game as if that IS a playoff game.

Yep, you cannot overlook Philly. Recent history has also shown that the Redskins don't do anything easy -- seems like they have a knack for making things more interesting and difficult than they have to be. Hopefully Gibbs puts an end to that.

For the Skins to have a home playoff game, the Giants have to lose to the Raiders. Anything can happen, but I wouldn't count on Oakland for any help.

This one I also feel the most comfortable about in a first round game. Our D is playing much better, ST will be available to eliminate that deep pass shit they killed us on 1st game. Portis has owned TB and the running game has stepped it up another level since we played them in Nov. I like the match up and if we do end up with a road playoff game, I am going to try and make the trip if we go to Carolina or Tampa in this first round. A lot can happen, I can't wait til this week is over and we can say we are in and plans to move through the playoffs. One thing I don't like is the chance of playing the Cowboys for a third time this year in a playoff game, it would be electrifying but damn I don't know if I could handle a possible loss to them and the shit we would hgear from the Boys. If we don't beat ourselves with turnovers we can beat anyteam in the playoffs on the road or at home.
