Redskins vs. Eagles week
With the last home game at FedEx on the horizon this Sunday for the season. What are your thoughts going into this match up against the eagles.
Other than the obvious....no playoffs. How do you think the team will respond? Lay an egg OR come out and play with some heart and get a win/spoiler against a philly team that has some MO. Week 15

Re: Redskins vs. Eagles week
I think it'd be kinda sad that they would have more motivation to being the spoiler than having motivation in previous games to make the playoffs. I think they will lose, although I would like to see a more average rather than mediocre game for the offense.

Re: Redskins vs. Eagles week
I think that with the playoffs all but gone the Skins will be looking to play spoiler which is really the only interest I guess I have in this game. I'd like to see Zorn get these rookie WR's in the game and give them a chance to see some real playing time.

Re: Redskins vs. Eagles week
Like many of you I have played team sports throughout my childhood, and into my high school years. If I had any talent, I would have continued into college. I also played in many competitive leagues of one kind or another since then.
I currently serve as an asst. coach on my son's High school Lacrosse team as I have for the past couple of years. I have always LOVED the juice! The adrenalin that comes with....competing. I honestly cannot understand the concept of .....being flat? My God, these guys compete at the highest level on earth. How can there be a problem "getting up for a game"??? I don't get that...........

Re: Redskins vs. Eagles week
at this point I'm actually hoping to see the Eagles advance 1 because they are playing with heart 2. Because I would like to see them advance in the playoffs and eventually knock the Giants and or cowboys out. With that said I would like to see our rookies in the game. Basically see if there is any depth to our team. Also like to see JC let it all hang out! I wouldn't mind seeing our backup QB as well. Win or lose doesn't matter at this point. We need to see what we have. One more thing I would limit Portis to 1 quarter and play our other backs.

Re: Redskins vs. Eagles week
I'm in the championship game of my fantasy football league( Money League), I need portis to have 45 carries for 300 yards and 5 TDs. Anything else is not acceptable.
The team has to go out and win. They need to impose their will on the eagles. They are playing for pride right now and I expect them to go all out. |

I see your point on pride but still feel there are more important things to see at this point. Depth of the Skins |

I don't think they turn it off more like go through the motions. Plus back to the job and feeding your family theory are you really going to go balls to the wall knowing you might hurt yourself in a meaningless game, thus maybe jeopordzing (sp) your career.

this isnt a knock or in reference to coach zorn but in my experience, good coaches make sure your ready for every game, bad coaches will tune out every now and then and its easy for the team to follow suit. also having your star players being vocal and focused every game really allows the less talented players to feed off your leaders energy. ray lewis is always pumped and i havent seen teh ravens D come out flat, ever. ^^^ sorry about that Heard its going to be cold with possible sleet sunday. awesome!! i really hope the skins come out to play even though theres nothing to suggest we wont get the same effort weve gotten seemingly every home game. really not looking forward to the game but im sure once i get some beer in me and the lights come on i wouldnt want to be any other place. . . .i hope. go skins!!! |

Re: Redskins vs. Eagles week
this game probably goes a long way in determining if Zorn stays. if last week the skins couldn't muster any emotion, why would this week be any different?

Re: Redskins vs. Eagles week
im wondering if its even worth watching. besides the fact i need Portis or Cooley to get in the endzone, and Fletcher/Landry to score some defense for my Fantasy playoff game.
This seasons come down to such a pitiful situation. AND i believe Zorns gone. regardless of what we do sunday. |
