Summo--interesting avatar--is that really the word you want? "Furor": a : furious or hectic activity b : an outburst of public excitement or indignation : UPROAR "Führer": (“Leader”), title used by Adolf Hitler to define his role of absolute authority in Germany's Third Reich (1933–45). I suppose either would work, modulo the whole holocaust thing for the second one. (Note: I'm Jewish. I have no problem with the second usage. I am also a liberal, left-wing academic who hates PC stuff. FREE SPEECH UBER ALLES!!!  )
