Mike Sellers at the Blitz on 106.9 The Fox, Radio.

Hey SKIN FANS, BIG MIKE is or will be down in Va. Beach for the blitz and was on the local classic rock radio station The Fox 106.9 for an interview this am.

And guess who got to ask questions first, yep....that would be me.

I first asked about how he thought the offense would work out this season with JC and the second year of the scheme, and how many point's we could produce on any given game day.

He stated things looked GREAT at the OTA's and JC looked "PHENOMENAL, THE SKY IS THE LIMIT" classified JC as like having a 6'5" RB , he also expects to be used MORE in the Fullback roll.

Second question I asked is what he thought of where the Defense would end up after the meltdown last year (In Short). I mentioned the pickups we made and asked where he thought we might finish up in ranking....I said can we break into top 10?

His comment was everybody thinks we need D-lineman, we don't need D-lineman, if anything we needed linebackers, and NO we will be TOP 5!

I added a link to the station, after 10am, when the morning show is complete you can listen to the interview......WAY COOL.

Closing note. They called me back at my office and said I had some FREE tics to the blitz this weekend, even though I already have golfing tics for Saturday. The FREE tics are for other events.....SOLD! ENJOY

Mike was a GREAT guy, and I think he held the position of I'm seeing the real picture, becauce I'm here and your not ( And I'm not some dumbass reporter that doesn't know shit about football or what's going on in DC with the REDSKINS) . And this is what is going on!

Sellars pinned the defensive problems on the LB's. Said specifically that people blaming the DL are wrong.

Pretty telling that he didn't just say "we had injuriies" or something like that but instead said "if we had a problem last year it was the LB's".

I heard SkinsFan ask if he thought the defense could return back to the top 10 and he said that he really expects them to get back to the top 5.

I'm getting pretty excited about this upcoming season again!

His assessment of the D is consistent with Greg & Co. Either he's speaking the party line or the line will be ok....maybe. '
I wish he could get in the game more as I love to see him bust tackles!

I really don't care where your at. You missed the point, the point was Mike Sellers is at the Redskins training faculity...unless your there he's closer to what's going on, and has FIRST HAND KNOWLEDGE.

Sounds like he was working out, I'm only guessing but I believe he was still at camp, just talking via radio. Probably will arrive here Friday? when the blitz actuallly starts. That's what it sounded like after listening to the radio replay.

From the talk coming out of Redskins Park so far, I get the idea that the guys on D are very eager to redeem themselves and will be coming into this season with a serious chip on their shoulders. I like that, I think last year was a serious shot to the gut for them, they sound hungry again.

As for Big Mike, I don't think he's one to tow the company line. He usually tells it like it is.
