Bombshell! I stopped watching him well over a year ago. Must be nice to get fired and have the headline read "departed". Departed my arse.

Maybe MSNBC is starting to get slightly smarter.

The only thing protecting him was Zucker's pragmatic stance about his value. Other than that he was pretty hated there by everyone. Comcast gave Zuck the boot and everyone should have known Keith wouldn't be far behind. Good riddance asshat.

Re: Olbermann Leaves MSNBC

Word is his camp planned this out knowing he'd likely get canned, said that he was underpaid, yadda ya.. Will get some money but has to stay off of TV for a certain amount of time and will start doing something online

It was on TMZ, I was flipping channels, don't judge me

They can say all they want...he was a goner...either by his "own hand" or because he would be s-canned in a few weeks. He certainly knew the new regime wasn't going to pay him more.

Re: Olbermann Leaves MSNBC

Definitely not, I may have worded it badly but I was basically saying they knew it was coming so they played their hand in order to get what they could.

Re: Olbermann Leaves MSNBC

I'm sure he'll be alright with 30 million and change in his pockets...if Olbermann wanted to be at MSNBC he would be with or without the Comcast acquisition.

He will land somewhere else for sure.

Re: Olbermann Leaves MSNBC

His five regular viewers are probably weeping.

Lets hope he doesn't come back to sports broadcasting full-time.

Thanks kind of what i thought at first, but their line up is way to strong to put him in. Maybe he could share a show like Hannity and Combs, but i think his ego is too big for that.

I think his only chance is with CNN/HLN or maybe ABC for news. If he wanted to go back to sports (which i think everyone, liberal or conservative, doesnt want) i think he could do CBS or maybe Fox, but Fox sports also already has really strong line ups with their pregame and postgame shows. Plus he'd only be a Kurt Menefee James Brown type guy so i dont know where he would fit with either network. So hopefully he wont return to sports.......

I could see him going to HBO or something
