Re: Draft Comparisons

I guess its an interesting way of looking at it...but since it is so subjective, you or I could come up with different comparisons to make these players look completely the opposite of what this site came up with. That being said, I especially like these comparisons:

Andre Woodson-David Carr...I really like the way Andre threw the ball in college and was able to put touch on his passes, but i think the NFL will escape him in the same way that it has Carr

Glenn Dorsey - Anthony McFarland...when I first started paying attention to Dorsey that was the name that popped into my head

Aqib Talib - Chris McAlister...almost identical physical characteristic (6'2ish, 202-206) which include the size to cover today's NFL wide receiver. If the D-ends start flying off the board early, i would like the skins to try to trade up to pick this kid up.

Erin Henderson - EJ Henderson...that's just too easy. I hope we pick this kid up in one of the later rounds cuz I think he really could be special

yea if you dont read it already, Id suggest nfldraftcountdown.com to everyone on here. As far as mock drafts go...he usually has the 'trends' first, and is historically the most accurate. He does a great job of explaining team needs, rumors, evaulating talent. He goes to the combine and sees the players. Its more than just someone listing 32 names.

D. Rodgers-Cromartie - Antonio Cromartie.......... another easy one, and I would love to see us pick up Erin Henderson in the late rounds... nice product of Aberdeen like his brother..... poor guy didnt get the male version to spell his name though... with minimal search on his brother I actually couldnt find out what EJ stands for.... maybe Emily Jane???

Re: Draft Comparisons

nfl draft countdown is a good site,I've looked at it some over the past few drafts. I like the fact that they do a 3 round mock. I didn't like it that he has us picking C. Campbell at 21, but I know there's still a chance.

He has Flacco going at #44 to the bears. That sounds crazy, but he does back up his predictions w/good explanations of what teams need & how they'll make their decisions. He states in several cases that he doesn't see some teams picking a qb early. He also has Atl. picking Brohm in the 2nd. A trade w/Atl. seems the best chance we have of moving back to acquire an additional pick or 2. If they want Brohm but are worried he might be snagged late in the 1st or early 2nd (can't think of who in those spots would want him) then we could trade back to get more 2nd round picks, as Atl. has 3.

In all likelihood though, Atl. would need to move up higher than 21 to keep another team from nabbing one of the top qbs.

Re: Draft Comparisons

comparing Malcom Kelly to Dwayne Jarret makes me want to take back some comments I made in another thread about Kelly being a steal in the second round. Jarret didnt do anythign last year. He really proved that you can dominate in college yet be mising the physical tools to be any good in the NFL...
