RIP OG Heath Benedict

This is so sad. Just last night I was about to post how I heard the Redskins might be interested in him as a mid round possibility and now this

Re: RIP OG Heath Benedict

That's bad. RIP man.

How many players does that make this year? 2 or 3 isn't it? It seems like there are more and more players passing away each year. I really don't remember this being a problem 5 years ago.

Re: RIP OG Heath Benedict

He was a big o linemen, I kinda hoped we would draft, he was really underrated coming into the draft, and played well at the Senior Bowl. RIP

That's terrible. Feel for his family. Agree with hagams that this is happening way
too much.

Re: RIP OG Heath Benedict

You really hate to hear stuff like this. I am sure he was very excited and anxious to become an NFL player.

I hope this was not the reason he is deceased:
Quote:
Several NFL personnel men implied to Sporting News correspondent Russ Lande that Benedict showed signs of steroid use at the Senior Bowl, specifically the acne on his back at the weigh-in. The sources also said they were impressed by Benedict's muscular physique at the Senior Bowl weigh-in and practices.
People really don't understand the ramifications of steroid use.
I will reserve further comment about him and steroid use until the autopsy comes back. You hate to give that kind of speculation unless his name is Barry Bonds.

Unsure of what you're talking about, unless of course you did not fully read the link that SS left on this first post of this thread. Read the full article...it's closer to the bottom.
