Redskins Talking Trade with Raiders?

So Bruce Allen was on ESPN980 this morning and for those who might have missed it, three things stood out

1. Goff's injury "doesn't look good"

2. Bringing in some free agents today (assuming these are OL since it was in response to Jammal Brown's injury)

3. Allen was on the phone with the Raiders his morning talking about a potential trade.

Should I find out anything more, I'll let you know

Can we swindle them like everybody else does? Stay tuned!

The Raiders have a bunch of young tackles.

They employ a zone blocking scheme (or at least they did with Cable -- two coaches ago). Do they have anyone worth trading for?

1. thats his mo...sux but some guys just cant stay healthy. Probably means one man gang is safe

2. Brown injury is more serious than we suspect as he continues his role as biggest disappointment of the Shanny era.

3. whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaattttttttttttttttttt ttttttttttttttt...is there any speculations where we are looking? Im saying secondary or Oline.

IMO Jared Veldheer would be cool at the right price.

Brown for Veldheer would be excellent. Of course since that's probably not going to happen hopefully we get the good end of the deal.

Re: Redskins Talking Trade with Raiders?

1. Goff had a bit of an uphill climb to begin with, they may just go ahead and part ways now if he's going to miss another year potentially. And if that is the case, maybe it's time to stop going after Giants LBs (Armstead, Barrow, Goff)

2. Still no word on who

3. How would you all feel about Cooley for Khalif Barnes and a conditional pick?

We'd get the conditional pick? Would Cooley accept the trade or just retire -- as he has said he would do in the past. Either way, I'm down with that.

Probably won't happen. They seem to have a competent GM now... Damn you, Al!

I'm also down with that. He's not the best fit for us but the hour is late for plugging RT. And Cooley, as much as I love him, is kind of dead weight on our roster.

1. I find it hard to believe they had high expectations for Goff considering his injury history. I always felt he was more of a "if he pans out great, if he doesn't no big loss" kind of move.

2. I guess we'll see

3. Not sure how I'd feel about that. Doesn't Khalif Barnes have a rep as an underachiever and/or dirty player? Or am I thinking about someone else. If it's Barnes and a pick it better be a mid-level pick, definitely not a 7th rounder.

ohhhhh boy. I know Id feel fine bout that, but the fanbase is not gonna be too happy. I believe Barnes has improved the last couple years?

I don't want to part ways with Cools, but if he is done here, the best move would be to trade him for O-line depth if possible.
