F... Getting Old

I've had a wide array of health problems so far this year. Had a stomach issue which wound up getting me an endoscopy. Nothing was wrong. Just some mild stomach inflammation.

I also can't drink like I used to and when I say used to, I mean just 3 or 4 years ago. I've developed a horrible heartburn issue where it feels like my chest is being compressed. I had 2 glasses of wine last week and developed that kind of heartburn. Yet this weekend I drank like a fish and had NO heartburn. Wtf?

I'm also having a horrible knee issue. It's not crippling pain but it sucks to walk around on and if I've been sitting for awhile, it has the tendency to get sore and cause pain if I stretch it outright.

I figure it's nothing serious since the pain isn't cripping. Between 1-10, 1 being no pain and 10 being like Emergency Room, it feels like a 4 or 5. Maybe a strain or a sprain, gonna eventually buy a brace for it and wait it out.

I swear, one day I fell asleep and woke up old.

I asked my Doc about such things some years ago......
He replied, "You've never been this old before".....

Sorry to hear, DRave. That sucks. The only good thing about getting old that I've found is that sometimes you can legitimately cop an, "F this-I'm too old for this" attitude.

I was/am the same way. Take Prilosec, it'll help.

lol hey I'm 27 in a couple weeks.

It's just that I've hit that point where I've realized my body is changing and it toooootally sucks.

Little deaths, we called them during our psych class. Geez, how depressing.

I'm 52. Stay healthy by eating and drinking sensibly and keep your body tuned up.

Sexual activity is key when combined with love.

Read a book, try something that challenges you, don't let your brain stagnate.

And stay off WP after a Redskins loss.

Or make your very own gameday thread where you can debate against yourself

Yeah but at the same time life gets better in a lot of ways as time goes on, it's all perspective too.

In my defence, I was somewhat hammered at that point. I watched the Niners game at The Yard House in DTLA and discovered the delights of Rasputin stout.

You probably made more sense there than many people in the "Who's your pick's for next HC, DC and OC?" thread.
