Henry is getting paid like a great corner when he's just above average and is 28.

Ferguson is pretty good, but he's 30 and got a five year deal with a $9 million signing bonus.

Bottom line - they overpaid for aging vets.

Add that to the signing of Bledsoe and you definitely get the sense there's a win now mentality in Dallas....is 2005 Parcell's final year?

Re: Cowboys sign Henry and Ferguson

I think they were good moves. It just scares me that they lost an OLB and there are only 2-3 teams I see maybe taking Derrick Johnson before they have a shot. Plus he is from Texas. That would be the biggest pick-up of all for them

ferguson is 30 years old, been in the nfl 8 years , has NEVER been to the probowl and has NEVER had more than 4-1/2 sacks in a season.

Let's hope these moves are as successful as when they signed Marcellus Wiley last year

Dallas have well overpaid for those 2 players.

Ferguson is solid but ain't going anywhere near Hawaii, same for Henry. Also it means Smoot won't be going to Dallas, so all round great signings for us Skins fans. Messes their cap up and keeps Smoot away from them.

Henry I dont really know much about, so I'll just hope he sucks. However, I personally think Ferguson is a great player. I have a couple Jet fan friends and they were upset to lose him, So i'm a little more worried about him.

Neither of these guys scare me. If they draft Derrick Johnson or Shawne Merriman I will then be afraid. Then again, the Cowboys offense will probably suck this year.

Parcells is a much better coach than he is a GM........In the past, he missed on some players when he tried to wear both hatsl......
