Gruden to Return to ESPN
He's about to (he may have already) signed a multi-year extension that will give him a lot more responsibilities than just Monday Night Football

Re: Gruden to Return to ESPN
So add him to the names Cowher and Holmgren that won't be in DC next year. Do you think Gruden is angling to be the next Madden?

Good for him. I really don't want him here anyway.

Re: Gruden to Return to ESPN
Crazy thought here, but what if the team somehow manages to pull it together down the stretch and finish around .500? Do we still dump Zorn?

We dump Vinny and let the new, real GM make the decision

Re: Gruden to Return to ESPN
I don't get the hype for Shanahan. Plus Dallas isn't a good fit for him. Is he really going to go work for Jones after working for a hands off guy like Bowlen? I don't think we'll see Shanahan in Dallas. It's either going to be here or nowhere.

We know contracts arent worth the paper they are printed on. If he gets a HC offer he likes he will leave.

Re: Gruden to Return to ESPN
Well I think what Snyder wants more than anything is for thing to succeed with Cerrato and Zorn and show that he made the right decision.
Nonetheless, even if we do win I think Zorn is gone and Cerrato will be moved to another non-decision making position. But Zorn's replacement could be in-house. Jerry Gray? And Lewis remains as offensive play-caller? However, let's not forget all the struggles we've had this season. Which is why I think they're going to make changes.

Re: Gruden to Return to ESPN
We could win all our remaining games and I would still dump Zorn, he's hopeless.
Getting Shanahan is my worst nightmare. Do you know how many playoff games he won in his last 10 years with Denver? One! That's right, one! Exactly half the number we have in the last 10 years.

Re: Gruden to Return to ESPN
Dallas is a strong candidate for Shanahan. But I wouldn't sleep on San Diego.
