Re: hasselbeck trade?
Let The Warpath speculation begin on what Hasselbeck will bring in a trade.
I say that the Skins should accept nothing less than a team's first round pick for each of the next three years. Hasselbeck is worth at least that miuch...

jdlea:
NOOO!!! YOu can't give him up for a conditional 6th. After the FO lost Hall of Fame candidate Sultan McCullough last year, they absolutely cannot part with Hasselbeck for anything less than three first round picks. Miami needs a QB so we should trade Hasselbeck there for three first round picks and Jason Taylor too. That sounds about right...

Re: hasselbeck trade?
Best of luck to him. I know we're not going to keep 4QBs. Patrick has his job, Mark ain't going and we just drafted a QB so that leaves Hasselbeck as the odd man out. I'm sure he'll blow up somewhere just like Trent Green.

WHAT?!?!?!
With our super dealing front office I am sure we can get at least a used toothpick for him. I wish these fools were selling new cars somewhere. I could get a BMW for 3 magic beans.

Re: hasselbeck trade?
Yeah, I never understood why everyone was so excited about Hasselbeck. He did alright, but we have seen what he can do. Campbell has more upside and will develope into a better QB. Maybe he can go play with his bro in Seattle.

Re: hasselbeck trade?
it would be nice if the skins could package hasselback and gardner for a late 2nd or early 3rd round pick in 2006.

Re: hasselbeck trade?
For a guy we signed off the street, a 7th rounder would be gold.

Re: hasselbeck trade?
yeah. im sure the skins might be able to get a fifth round pick for him, a fourth if a fo somewhere suddenly decides they need to get him, lol. we should trade brunell for a fourth rounder, and gardner should be worth a third rounder in next year's draft.

Re: hasselbeck trade?
I see SC refuses to let the greatness that was Sultan McCullough fade from our memories.
Sheesh. I throw a little support toward an undrafted rookie to make the squad, and the man never lets me hear the end of it when that player doesn't pan out. Somehow my speculation that Sultan might be talented enough to make the roster got misconstrued as a coronation of the next all-time rushing champion. I guess I'll need to be more specific in the future when I describe a young player's potential... Or we could just assume that when I say, "he could beat out Rock Cartwright and John Simon for the final spot at runningback," I don't mean, "this guy will make you wonder why Gibbs thought he needed to trade for Clinton Portis." ![]() |

Re: hasselbeck trade?
I believe Gibbs has a deal in the works for Hasselbach, Denver get's TH and our #1 in 2007, and Denver will take Gardner off our hand's, Gibbs quoted as saying "we had to do it, when you have an opportunity to get rid of your 4th string QB and a WR who can't catch and want's off the team and a team like Denver steps up like they did we had to make that deal" In return coach Shanahan has stated that he will meet gibbs at the 50 yard line of our home opener this upcoming season, have Gibbs bend over while Shanahan proceeds to thank him!
