Have we heard from Sherman Smith since his hiring?
Seems like we'd even hear from Al Saunders some, though he wasn't much of a media guy it seemed; I haven't heard a thing from Sherman since his hiring unless I've been under a rock.
I know that he won't throw his boy Zorn under the bus, but I'd be very interested in what he thought of the playcalling, intensity, personnel, etc. What's the guy doing other than helping draw up gameplans? Any accountability on his end or is Zorn just working the softer side of the plan? Anyone with any insight? |

Re: Have we heard from Sherman Smith since his hiring?
googled a bit about him and found a thread on ES -- some disturbing stuff in there I haven't read on here about some player interviews and whatnot
What Does Sherman Smith Do? - EXTREMESKINS.com Speaking of all of Cooley's plays getting used up early in the Rams game, so that's why they didn't come back to him. The pass from Portis to him was designed to be a 1st down play, but Zorn only had 4 plays drawn up for down there and they had used the other 3??? Is our O that scripted? Jesus, no situational playcalling? If what I'm reading in this thread is right (don't have time to listen to the interviews tonight) it's pretty disturbing and I'm number 1 on the ttyl Zorn bandwagon. |

They took the video down anyway.
Here is the podcast if you feel like listening. Kinda boring without video. http://www.csnwashington.com/common/.../102/12592.mp3 He says the same thing. "We call the plays so that they work" Player weren't executing" Same stuff Zorn says. But maybe he is part of the problem too? Who knows... Seems like all the coaches are getting a D- so far..

Re: Have we heard from Sherman Smith since his hiring?
That's the reaction that I was looking for; is there ANY explanation for what is said in there, backed by the interviews? We seriously dial up a number of plays in the redzone? Meaning if we hit it 4 times.. meaning we can hit it more than once in the same drive, we have a total of 4 scripted plays for it.. nothing else?
wow... |

For some reason, I'm not surprised.
We go from the 700 page playbook to the 4 page playbook... |

Re: Have we heard from Sherman Smith since his hiring?
Yea, apparently our playbook includes only 4 redzone plays, 3 of which are runs to the left.
