World of Warcraft

Wondering if anyone plays besides me. Something like 1 billion people play worldwide or some outrageous number like that.

If you do feel free to post your character name, server and side you play on.. But if you play for the Alliance, then I'll have to lay a beatdown on you.

Re: World of Warcraft

No, don't play, but at my last job at an ISP, EVERYONE ELSE PLAYED. That has to be the most addicting thing, like, in forever Seriously, the guys I worked with would LIVE to go home and play WOW and then LIVE to come to work and talk about playing WOW. It was insane.

Re: World of Warcraft

I normally try to hide the nerd side of myself when possible, but I've been playing WoW since nearly release. Started as Horde (60 war Gilneas), moved to a new server with friends (60 mage Greymane), then that guild went downhill and more friends were going alliance so we could *gasp* raid, rolled a 70 mage played there for a long time, decided I wanted to be more casual, rolled a 70 Sham on Alleria.

WoW can be very fun if you're playing with the right people, otherwise it can be horribly frustrating. Personally, I have more fun with MMOs than with console games, FPS, etc. Shortly there will be some other big MMO titles coming out that will probably really hurt WoW.

I've never played, do not have the time or want enough to play, but this is the funniest thing ever from WoW:

The Leroy Jenkins bit was actually a question on College Jeopardy.

Re: World of Warcraft

I heard there's a youtube recreation of LeRoy Jenkins microwaving his chicken and then charging into battle. I haven't actually taken the time to look for it though.

It's actually 6 million worldwide, of which 4 million are Chinese players.

Re: World of Warcraft

i played that game once, and it ended up with some guy winking at me after i repeatedly told him to stop. This clearly wound up with us fighting and him easily destroying me, so i never played the game again. It also seems like that game is more addicting than heroin.

lol, it's not just Chinese kids. World of Warcraft is like an Asian cult. If Blizzard makes a game the Asians are quick to jump on it.
