Re: RIP Robin Williams

Wow. This sucks. Suspected suicide too? Man, if this is true I can't even fathom how someone who brought so much joy to so many other people could take his own life.

RIP to one of the funniest idols of my childhood.

What mooby said. Truly an amazing talent. It is unfortunate he could not conquer his inner demons.

This man was a genius, and I just saw the twitter reports. Unbelievably sad moment in time

He was just brilliant in that. Always amazed me how he could play different roles so well.

This is the cruelty of depression. It doesn’t matter if you’re smart or you’re funny or you make other people happy. It can kill you.

Depression is the worst fucking opponent in the hardest fucking fight you can possibly imagine. Depression cheats.

The world is a worst place today than it was yesterday. When I was a teen I loved Good Morning Vietnam, just b/c his radio routine was so damn funny.

His stand up on Golf was so great too.

Re: RIP Robin Williams

I can't remember the last time I felt so sad and shocked about the death of a famous person. Robin Williams was one of my favorite actors. I loved and I've seen just about all of his movies and his comedy specials. His interview in Inside the Actors Studio was just surreal. Today is truly the day that laughter died.

Re: RIP Robin Williams

Heartbreaking. This man has brought much laughter and joy into my life throughout the years, and it is truly saddening to know we'll never be able to see that smile once again. The world is truly a less funny place with his passing. RIP

Re: RIP Robin Williams

In a world of false celebrity and pathetic idolisation it's become hard for me to get worked up about the tragedy of someone else's life. But in this case I am truly bummed. Robin Williams was brilliant. There are few artists who have been able to affect so many with so much talent for so long. You could count on one or two hands the people who fit into his company when you think about it. Robin Williams mattered.

That he lost a battle against an unknowable force like depression is inconceivable to most of us. Mental disorders are our country's most ignored and possibly most dangerous threat. I wish we did more to combat it both clinically and socially. People lose loved ones every day to this same disease....maybe this can be another, hopefully bigger, stepping stone to really trying to solve this terrible f*cking blight.
