It was on the ESPN Ticker. I think Friedman v Dockery will be a good camp battle.

I saw it on the ticker too, but I can't find it yet on the web. Hope it's true! It's a good move. Let's hope Cory stays healthy, because he's a real old-school Hog.

I always liked Cory Raymer. He was good when he wasn't hurt. I remember skins letting him shop around and they wouldn't match the contract he got. How good will he be? I don't know. I really haven't followed his career after he left the skins. Any thing happen to him while a charger?

Pete doesn't show him as a starter....Samuels, Thomas, Raymer, Moore, Jansen, right??

Unless they switch the Tackles when Brunell is in.

No, most likely it would be Samuels, Dockery, Raymer, Thomas, Jansen.

Larry Moore is now as good as gone. Fiore and Friedman are the backup guards/centers.

I could be wrong, but I don't think the O-line shifts for a southpaw QB.

Anyobdy have info on Raymer's health status and number of games as a starter in San Diego?

EDIT: Nevermind, I did research on my own through my Sporting News Pro Football Preview for the 2003 season. It mentions Raymer as a backup to Jason Ball who is the starting center for the Chargers. Raymer reportedly was coming off a torn Achilles tendon injury as of August '03. Raymer, (listed at 6'3"/300) is an 8 year veteran from Wisconsin.

Let's hope Raymer is returning to form. Otherwise, he could be vying for a backup role.

I thought Brandon Winey did a pretty good job when he filled in for Samuels at the end of last year. Is he still part of the Redskins' plans?

He's GOT to be. As I remember, Whiney did do a decent job filling in for Samuels. I'm not aware of any other backup offensive tackle on our roster with any extended playing time.

Word is they're gonna release Moore and have Raymre and Friedman battle it out for starting position. Raymer came in for 8 games last season after Ball suffered an ankle injury and was named Co-Lineman of the year for the chargers. Thats not saying much though =X

who's Jones?

and as far as Raymer's recent play I think I remember reading on one of the post's article about possibly signing him, he played in 13 games last year I think and started 6 or 8. I may be thinking of someone else but I do remember him being voted by the team as their offensive lineman of the year.

Dude got the name wrong, unless he's talking about Rod Jones from a couple seasons ago. Nice depth at center with Raymer and Friedman, guess there's no chance they'll trade down for Grove now.
