SBF Weekly Recipe: Skillet Fried Pork Chops

It was rainy again yesterday so I decided to cook inside. I had some nice fat pork chops so I trimmed all the fat off for my wife and hit them with just Salt & Pepper and some Italian Seasoning.

Got my Skillet going at a Medium/High with some olive oil and butter. After the butter browned up a tad I added the chops.

Few minutes on one side till they started to brown up.

Flipped them 1 more time and popped in my therm probe.

At 160 they were at a nice medium. I topped with some of that sauce I cooked yesterday too. Yumm yumm yumm!

Have a great day folks and HAIL SKINS!

Do you ever finish off things you fry inside in the oven? I found that helps me when I do flat iron steaks because I tend to overcook things when I leave them on the stove top.

A thermometer really help take meat off at the right temp. Beef Medium is like 145 degrees internal where pork is 160 degrees internal.

Go buy a $10 digital instant read thermometer

Good luck

lol
Man was I drinking at 8:30 or what? I have no idea what I was posting about.

They came back yesterday and we filmed 1 Episode of 8 videos on Injecting [JB got a plug] [2] Turkeys and cooking [1] the old fashion way in a Deep Fryer with Peanut Oil and another 13lb Turkey in the Big Easy Oil Less Cooker and also Carving and many Safety Tips.

Here is a picture of the Producer David and Dale Sr.

To the left of what he was filming.

Then my "stage". lol You can see in the back out of camera I had another table of preped stuff and gear.
http://www.mikehedrick.com/bbq/monkeyshoot03.jpg

This shoot took about 3.5 hours and went very well. David hoped this video with Thanksgiving coming up would get as many Views as the Carolina Pulled Pork Intro which is the MonkeySee.com 's Most Viewed Video at over 27,000 views. MonkeySee

They will do a National Media Blitz as soon as all the bugs are worked.

Not sure if it will lead to any thing but it sure was fun to "play act".

Thanks for the encouragement guys.
I could not wear my visor cus it cast a bad shadow on my face but I did mention the Redskins twice and gave a thewarpath shoutout too.
peace
