Mike Shanahan Monday Press Conference Highlights

Some comments from Mike Shanahan this afternoon:

Bone bruise for Trent Williams. Day to Day

Jordan Black did a fine job

Yo..don't bogart that bud Fred! Puff puff pass son!!!

Hamstring for Ced Griffin

Strained patella tendon for Royster (this is the guy I heard might be out a few weeks)

Hankerson is fine

and Kate Upton is fiiiiiiineeeee

Kyle thought game was over and official told them game was over

Would like cooler heads to prevail

**** you punch it in. **** every ****ing bone in your ****ing body sideways with a ****ing lunch box you mother****er!!!!!!!

We have reviewed some Wildcat formations from Rutgers, may expect it against Bucs since their head coach was the HC at Rutgers last year

But we had noooooo idea Mohammad Sanu who also went to Rutgers and who we heavily scouted leading up to the draft would have run a wildcat play yesterday

Don't know about Pierre Garcon's status at this time

All new How I Met Your Mother tonight!

Need to avoid 3rd and long situations. Good things usually don't happen in 3rd and long situations.

Don't want QB taking as many shots as RG3 did yesterday. Part of the reason why you don't want 3rd and long, tend to leave QB vulnerable

Never want to play catch up in the NFL

Our secondary has to play much better

We only really got hurt on the Cover 0 once. We like it

and we like when Kate Upton goes Cover 0...Ba zing!

Not sure about Brandon Meriweather's status at this point

Holla!

The back to back sacks he gave up was amazing. The first one, RG3 held the ball a lil too long, but the next play Johnson sprinted around Black like he wasnt there for a blindside hit on the 3rd. Mighty fine job.

LOL I was being cynical. But seriously, how do reporters keep a straight face in those situations?

Re: Mike Shanahan Monday Press Conference Highlights

Brilliant recap Smoot. I rather hear your highlights than the actual thing. Much more entertaining.

Coach speak. They all hear it. Shanahan and Bill Bellicheat at the best at it. They don't say much, ambiguous in what they say, and often lie their asses off.

Re: Mike Shanahan Monday Press Conference Highlights

And yesterday was the premiere of "How I Met Your Quarterback."

Geez. Someone said matador -- at least a matador distracts the bull. Our RT was more like a restaurant host "May I show you to Mr. Griffin, sir?" 6 sacks. Flat out unacceptable. There are pinatas that get hit less than RGIII did yesterday.

And by the way, RGIII took a few shots pretty high -- at least one of which was clearly in the head. Between that and the non-call last week on Fred Davis, the refereeing is taking a dark turn. I generally don't complain about officiating as I think it tends to be bad all around and thus a wash, but the last two weeks are making me re-think that approach.

Re: Mike Shanahan Monday Press Conference Highlights

Parcells was by far the most entertaining Coach on a post game although a notable mention should go to the old Bucs Coach McKay for his answer to "What do you think of your teams' execution?" to which he allegedly replied "I'm all for it" and a couple of other amusing lines.

It's all got to Corporate and serious/meaningless.
