Parenting Article
I came across this just reading on the internet.
Read through it; I like to know some of the dad's opinions on this. “You Just Broke Your Child. Congratulations.” by Dan Pearce | Become a Better Father To me it seems a bit harsh to call this father unfit or that he broke his child. I really think discipline in this country has gone by the way side. I have spanked my son twice and now the threat of a spanking is enough to curve his behavior. I agree with a lot about the author is saying about loving your child and playing with them. I just beleive a lot of parents today have children just say I have kids and parade them around like they are a social status symbol.

Re: Parenting Article
To long to read but it sounds like he made up a story so he could make a point (happens all the time). From the little I read about the father and the way he was treating his son sounded a little harsh but I only heard the story from one persons perspective. The kid may have been really acting like a bratt but we don't really know.

Dan Pearce, keep your thoughts to yourself. Please don't click this link you'll only encourage him to post more.
A seriously trite and nauseating blog. |

Re: Parenting Article
this the part that pissed me off:
We were three from the front now, and the boy started to come towards his dad yet again. His dad immediately stepped out of the line, jammed his fingers into his son’s collar bones until he winced in pain, and threatened him. “If you so much as make a sound or come off of that wall again, I promise you’re going to get it when we get home.” The boy again cowered against the wall. This time, he didn’t move. He didn’t make a sound. His beautiful face pointed down, locked to the floor and expressionless. He had been broken. And that’s how his father wanted it. He didn’t want to deal with him, and breaking him was the easiest way. I don't condone the finger into the collar bone but to say the dad didn't want to deal with the kid? LOL! Parents that don't want to deal with their kids either ignore them or just give into them. this guy disciplined his son. And the way he described the boys actions; that child is not broken, that is exactly what ever disciplined kid looks like when they don't get their way. A undisciplined child screams and throws a tantrum.

Re: Parenting Article
Those are my favorites. I really love to get behind the parent, line of sight of the tantrum-throwing kid, and mock the child to see if I can encourage him/her to even greater fits of appalling behavior.
I'm confident it won't surprise anyone who posts on WP regularly that I'm not a parent. |

I don't see the harm, their little girl clearly can't see the merchandise with the black tape they placed over her eyes.

Re: Parenting Article
Sans the porn shop but it annoys me when i see any child over 3 in a stroller. Once my son could walk "good" has been ever since. Even a trip to Dutch Wonderland he walks the whole thing. Shit his parts are only 4 years old now mine are 38 years old; I need the damn stroller!
