Top what if moments in team history

Stealing this idea from the Kevin Sheehan podcast, what are some of your top what if moments with this team?

For example, what if Sean Taylor didn't die? What if RGIII didn't blow his knee out? What if Jordan Reed didn't have the concussion issue? What if Marty didn't get fired?

What if we traded for Peyton instead of drafting RG3.

With Shanny here, Skins were a top option for Manning…the decision to move up for RG3 ended that discussion.

That's a good one, though I think Peyton wasn't interested in the drama of playing in the same division as Eli. But I was totally on board with PM coming here even with coming off that neck injury.

Shanny and Manning sure would have been a dangerous combo.

Re: Top what if moments in team history

What if we were just a bit more aggressive in the 2005 draft, when Aaron Rodgers went 24th to the Packers and Jason Campbell went 25th to Washington.

The Jags at 21 took WR Matt Jones. The Ravens at 22 took WR Mark Clayton. The Raiders at 23 took a CB Fabian Washington.

Quite likely they all could have gotten their guy at 25 if we had traded up with them to take Rodgers.

What if we would have kept those draft picks we used to select RGIII and instead drafted Russel Wilson in the 2nd or 3rd? Or just Cousins in the 4th?

If we had known about the cap penalty that was coming the trade probably never happens.

What if we scored 15 points on 1/14/1973 and ruined their perfect season? They've been annoying every single non-Dolphins fan since 1/15/1973.

What if we had fired Jay Gruden and promoted/hired Sean McVay to HC

What if Dan Snyder had never bought the team?

If they would have signed Trent Green when Snyder took over.

Re: Top what if moments in team history

I like all of the above, 15 pts, dan fuckface, sean taylor.... Taylor would have went on to be the best safety in the history of the game, bar none. He was already on his way there. Period. If he's not in your top 5 already, unless I'm wearing burgundy glasses, you're fucking stupid..

Also fuck Miami and that "perfect" season. Kudos but times have changed. Means nothing to me personally albeit I wasn't even alive.

Sean Taylor... hardest hitter in the draft. Best football player I've ever seen.

Ugh.

What if Joey T. had his head in the SB against the Raiders instead of Cathy Lee Crosby’s muff.

What if Carlos Rogers holds on to that pick 6 vs the Seahawks in 2005?

I firmly believe we beat them and the Panthers the following week for the NFC title
