Re: Cousins Open to Trade.
Well of course Cousins wants to start. So does Brandon Jenkins. So does Reed Doughty. Having your backups want to start is a GOOD thing and a normal thing. Rex wants to start - is he creating a QB controversy too?
Cousins' desire to start is not in any way a distracting QB controversy.

Don'tt underestimate the words coming out of Cousins mouth. With Schecter and Sally as his bookend bullhorns, he will make waves. |

Re: Cousins Open to Trade.
GM's that base their decisions on cherry-picked stats from games played in favorable conditions tend to do things like giving up a second round pick for Kevin Kolb. Hopefully(for the Redskins sake), there are still GM's out there that operate with this kind of unwarranted optimism.

2. Cousins has been a class act yet Schefter finds a way to take a jab a RG3 via Cousins "cute puppy qualities". Tebow is a class act but the media uses him to cause trouble. Same with Cousins. Sally Jenkins future quote "RG3 threw an interception why is Cousins on the sideline?". We don't need that . Since Cousins is such a class act I want him to have his "opportunity". RG3 is the starter no opportunity here. 3. I don't hate Cousins the person. I hate Cousins the quarterback. UGGGHHH super ugly! 4. Are you Sally Jenkins boy toy? |

Re: Cousins Open to Trade.
I really think that during the draft or just before it, we will get a second and a 4th - 6th for Cousins.
I could see getting a 3rd and a 4th, but I just think that too many teams need a quarterback, and this guy has arm strength, pocket presence, is mobile, has poise, and is a confirmed hard worker. |

Re: Cousins Open to Trade.
We don't.
All teams should have a good backup. We especially need one with Griffin's playing style. We'd be foolish to get rid of Cousins. Want us to be the Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions or Green Bay Packers who swirl down the toilet when their starter misses a game?

Re: Cousins Open to Trade.
If we had JJ Watt on our team would you keep Ryan Kerrigan as a back up because he "has value as a back up"?
Hell no ....you trade his narrow ass to get bodies for a position that doesn't have a real starter. We need more draft picks....period. I don't know about you guys but I'm planning on Griffin playing all 16 games next year.
