Re: Redskins vs. 49ers Post Game Thread
Skins have some serious depth chart issues, starting Wilson over Amerson. If this is how Shanahan "evaluates talent" I want out.

@granthpaulsen
Shanahan on his tenure: "You guys understand where I was at at the start and where I'm at right now. I don't have to go through any stats Really Mike? Take some accountability here for fucks sake.

I saw that and was wondering, HOW IN THE WORLD DO YOU NOT SEE THAT? I think I also saw Smith punch RGIII in the head when Griffin was down on the ground, but again, no call.

Re: Redskins vs. 49ers Post Game Thread
Griffin is punished every week and takes hits all the time sometimes they are legal and sometimes they are late. But he has yet to get a roughing the passer called against the opposing team. I don't understand why they let guys get away with murder on him. All they talk about is player safety and with one of the most polarizing player in the game, the guy who you would think would be the new face of the nfl and the guy who has sold more jerseys than anyone the last two years they are fine with him getting demolished.

Re: Redskins vs. 49ers Post Game Thread
Just put Cousins in dammit. I want to see if its the QB or other things RG3 is blaming it on. Let RG3 heal as well. Just freaking do it. Don't worry about losing RG3 because you are close to losing your job Shanahans. Seriously Damn the torpedoes let's see where the real fault lies then make changes accordingly. On a lighter note but just barely you can get rid of Polombus and Wilson right freaking now even if you have to let Gettis play RT and Santana Moss replace Wilson. Ba ha ha

Given how poor the OL has been, it's pretty clear it's not all on RG3.

Re: Redskins vs. 49ers Post Game Thread
Even Trent was getting blown up Monday night. I realize Mike likes smaller, speeder offensive linemen who can stretch the defensive, but these guys are nowhere near the talent Shanahan had in Denver - outside of Trent Williams. To me, this is one thing that any coaching staff should concentrate on first before bringing in skilled players, and that's building the offensive and defensive lines. It is all so true in that it starts in the trenches.

Re: Redskins vs. 49ers Post Game Thread
I hate to say, but Sally Jenkins wrote a pretty solid column about Robert's woes. Yes, Sally effin Jenkins. She raised a few good points. Anyway, whether it's the knee or lacking in confidence, he's not the same QB we saw last year.
Might be a good time to bring in Cousins, if for no other reason to spare Robert of getting battered around back there with nothing to gain. "Playing through it" might not be the remedy the Redskins need right now. Bench Robert Griffin III? For sake of his development, it’s a good idea for Washington Redskins - The Washington Post |
