Re: Grade the Redskins Moves So Far
I chose "A".
#1- I don't see how anyone would not pick "A" simply if the team got RG3. The moves made to just to get him are "A" quality. Ok did I think too much was given? yes. but the fact still remained we needed a QB to hang their hats on and hopefully after the draft we all can forget about talking about that position as a need. #2- This team needed an upgrade at WR. Well actually many spots, but getting a QB and not giving him weapons would be stupid. Our WR corps now looks a ton better. #3- OL is what I think is haning everyone up from giving the team an "A". I know we need an upgrade or atleast more talent. I seriously think since the CAP space was taken away they had to alter their plans. Notice WR and FS/S was picked up. I think OL is going to be fixed in the draft. Picking up a RT and a G would help a ton. Remember it was only the OL's second year learing the blocking scheme and with some it was their first yr because of the change over. The OL looked a lot better towards the end of the season and with a few additions should be a lot better. |

Re: Grade the Redskins Moves So Far
With the news that Fletcher as finally been re-signed I'd like to bump my former C+ up to a B. The curve has been set.

Re: Grade the Redskins Moves So Far
Now that Fletcher is signed, and we have guaranteed a potential franchise rookie QB...it is easy...anything after this is gravy...we really only have a couple potential starter roles up for grabs...oline, safety and nickleback....WR is covered..that frankly is pretty good.
Every year, every squad will have 3-4 starter roles up for grabs...this is a good sign...last year and the year before we were transitioning our entire front 7, oline, WR's RBs...etc I gave them a B

Wow, this thread lasted longer than I thought it would originally. Thanks Smoot for the changes.

A
I have hope, but then again every year I do. Griffin will make the O line look better. We will not reach the playoffs next year. We will be within a gm of 500. |

Re: Grade the Redskins Moves So Far
A+
1.We got RGIII, RGIII, did anyone watch the guy play? Awesome QB. 2. We only gave up 1 pick in the next 3 drafts to get him (2nd this year, 2 # 1's). I don't count #6 because we didn't lose that pick we improved it. You can find good starters and depth in the 3rd, 4th, 5th rounds this year and then starting with the 2nd round the next 2 seasons. Just look at our last draft. 3. We got Pierre Garcon, who going into FA I was hoping we would get instead of V. Jax. He can be a # 1 receiver and with RGIII there will be some explosive plays that we have always lacked. I miss Gary Clark, my favorite football player of all time. 4. We resigned Fletcher and Carriker to keep our front 7 intact. 5. We signed A LOT of depth in the secondary position. I can live with Hall, Wilson, and Griffin as our top 3 corners. With Williams, Jackson, Gomes, and Merriweather as our safeties. 6. O-line will be a work in progress with in the draft, but we did resign 2 of our guys plus James Lee for some tackle depth. 7. We got freaking RGIII!!! Its time to finally start thinking positive about the franchise we root for, no more doomsday attitudes. |

B
You didn't need Josh Morgan. Should have gone after Eddie more than Josh. Shouldn't have gone after really either Eddie or Josh, and should have gone after Eric Winston.
