Re: 2012 Free Agency Wish List

IMO Landry seems to be taking the Los way of trying to get out of Washington, I be surprised if he is back. Other then the first half of 2010 he has been a major disappointment and not to mention he seems like all around D-Bag.

At least Rogers was healthy (if I remember correctly). Honestly, the Redskins are pretty much in a position to do whatever the hell they want with Landry. And I don't see many options for him with that huge question mark on his health.

I think Hankerson will be fine and a starter.. Paul is likely more a ST player than a legitimate WR prospect.. Other than that, where's the optimism coming from about our current WR group? Outside of QB, this is our worst offensive unit and needs the most attention.
Was Paul even given a legit chance? Look around in our own division. Cruz was given a chance to play and look what he's become. Same with Miles Austin. What about Larant (sp) Robinson? If we can upgrade the QB position then I see no real need to get Bowe or Colston. Guys were getting open in our offense. We need to upgrade the Qb and o-line before wr.

She is real tall. She's also a bit snooty. It was still memorable...for her.

Here's the thing with Landry: he was one of the most tradeable commodities on the team back in 2010, though it seemed like he was kept because Haslett felt like he could be the cornerstone of what he wanted to do with defense. Right now, Landry is damaged goods and we have to assume (despite Landry's assertions to the contrary) that this is no fault of the Redskins.

But to have your most valuable, tradeable player in 2010 become a player who walks elsewhere to become someone elses reclamation project in 2012? Just two years later? If things are really different with this front office, they will find a way (via a franchise tag or a two year contract offer) to keep Landry from hitting the market right? Because I know what Vinny would do in this situation: he'd let Landry sign elsewhere and then leak details of his attempted rehabilitation to selected media sources. I'm sure Shanahan is above that though.

Don't you think it's time to turn the page with LL? He's had a half of one good season. The guy can't stay healthy and even when he is I certainly don't put him up there with the top safties.

It's hard to look at Landry on the coaches' tape and not think that he's going to be a star at some point. With that said, the only way to correctly value him is to treat him as damaged goods at this point.

The franchise tag in this case seems like a total no-brainer. I'll understand if the tag gets put on Fred Davis instead, but I guess I don't even see the reasoning for letting Landry go star elsewhere (provided health) instead of putting the franchise tag here and make him get his act together. If you are Landry, you look around and see the success that others have had after leaving Washington...well of course you want out. But the Redskins need to begin doing what is best for the Redskins.
