I don't understand the hype about tattoos. Having a tattoo doesn't make him a bad person. I understand there's kind of a double standard, we all think Pryor is a pos for trading memorabilia for tattoos (but that's different, I see Pryor as a young punk simply because he acted like he was above the law at Ohio State), but even if Cam did have tattoos it really shouldn't be that big of a deal. Tattoos don't change people, and I say this knowing I'm slightly biased because I have one of my own, with plans for more.

Ok, lets stop this shit about "Cam is a class guy". Guys with class don't cheat in school and steal laptops. Guys with class don't knowingly let their dad pimp their skills out to the highest bidder and deny ever knowing it to the NCAA and reporters.

Say what you want to about the on the field skills, but lets stop this bullshit about being a "class guy". THAT much he's already proved he's not.

Bert: Not sure where you get this idea about tattoos, but I would probably guess that many of those Wall Street guys that stole from the US citizen didn't have any tattoos. Guess that makes them "class guys" right? /facepalm The logic on some people.

Adversity reveals character, on that note I am leaving this thread. The vitriol from my fellow tarheel is beyond football.

I'm not the one up here calling a guy who's been caught cheating, stealing, lying, and breaking rules a "Class Guy". Vitriol? I'm sorry you don't like hearing the truth, but what you are in fact trying to do is polish a turd. Don't confuse the guys skills with his off-field issues, which was heavily criticized during the draft period for a reason.

If you want to say he's the real deal? Fine. At least the games can back that up so far. Just don't say he's a class act when in fact his history has proven the exact opposite so far.

He did not steal a laptop (false accusation), what did he lie about? I imagine you meant lieing, because there is nothing wrong with lying unless it's during the middle of a play like Haynesworth. What rules did he break? You can not hold the son accountable for the father's sins. Like I say, I empathize with the guy. You do not like Cam Newton, do you know him personally? If not then you have proven my point. You just don't like Cam. Brigade bring the toilet paper.

Kid tore it up again today.

22/35.......290 yards.....3 TDs.....117.6 QB rating

6 rushes for 53 yards.

This crow is yummy.

Sucks they lost to another rookie QB.

Re: Mad props to Cam Newton

I would argue that he played his best game against the Skins. He was mistake free, and surprisingly made great throws to very small windows, not to mention the damage he does with his legs. In the first quarter, he converted a 3rd and 13 deep out to Steve Smith against very good coverage, and at that point, I had a feeling that we were in for a long day.

He wasn't that good passing at AU

I took a flyer on Cam in the last round of my fantasy draft as a 3rd QB. I'm in a keeper league, so if he continues to play at this level or better, I'm set at QB for years.

I knew Cam would get us with his legs at some point, but I didn't expect him to pick us apart with his arm. Then again, rookie QBs have owned the Skins for the last few years.

Agree with you, except that Wilson and Hall were not playing "good coverage" on Smith. The deep throw later in the game to Smith was very well thrown, although if OJA is there rather than Doughty I'm not sure that's a completion.
