Re: Do you expect Zorn to be fired
Is Snyder really the media whore everyone claims him to be? I'd imagine he would be more like Jerry Jones if he was [a media whore].

Re: Do you expect Zorn to be fired
I think Russ Grimm should be the next head coach, if Zorn is fired. We need a fresh start. Tired of old recycled coaches. We need new front office personnel as well that know what they are doing.

Re: Do you expect Zorn to be fired
I really don't see the fascination with Russ Grimm. Loved him as a player, but we'd be trading an unknown, unproven head coach for another.

I think Zorn will finish out the season and depending on how the team finishes he might just stay. If they finish 4-12 then he's gone, 8-8 he stays. This team just doesnt have the talent on O so I really dont think any coach could come in here and do much better with what he'd have to work with. |

They don't need to. We all know that poll would say 100%.

Hey, guys. It’s Brian Mitchell. Here we are on another Monday morning, and we’ve seen another loss for our Washington Redskins. Call in today at 712-432-8220, id 5154, at 1 pm Eastern to hear me talk live about what went down yesterday. Remember it’s a free service. You can also email me questions for the show at bmitch@comvl.com. I was able to answer some of your questions on Friday’s show, and I will try to squeeze in a few more today.

Re: Do you expect Zorn to be fired
Come on dude. He's head and shoulders better than Zorn. He's been coaching offensive lines for over ten years. And been an assistant head coach for.....................6 years or so. Unlike Zorn, all of this has been at the pro level. And look what he did to the Steelers offensive line when he was there. He had those guys playing smash mouth ball better than anyone in the league. He goes to Arizona, who had a horrendous line, and turns them around into one of the better lines in the league. Warner got killed in St. Louis, but he has time to throw in Arizona. You know why? Because of Russ baby! Bring in Russ!

Re: Do you expect Zorn to be fired
I don't get it either. Plus he's had a few interviews for HC jobs where he was less than impressive, reportedly.

Re: Do you expect Zorn to be fired
Russ Grimm makes sense here if he has proven coordinators to support him. Otherwise, it really is a reach to just assume he will be successful as a head coach

Re: Do you expect Zorn to be fired
Zorn is clearly done.
He's damned if he wins (thanks to the consultant) and damned if he loses (there was nothing the consultant could do bc the team was just too far gone). I think he's in way over his head. Everyone likes him as a person, but he seems lost. he seems to get flustered/panicky on the sideline- which is symptomatic of someone who isn't ready to be a head coach. "What happened on that, it was the fourth-down call, and we're waiting for them to spot the ball," Zorn said. "Well, the clock's running, and I'm looking, I'm trying to call a play, but I don't know where they're going to spot the ball. I don't know if it's gonna be 4th-and-5, 4th-and-2, 4th-and-7, what was it gonna be. And so all's I could do was call timeout." Come on, the spread isn't 2-7 yards...everyone knows how close it was (roughly). Zorn said after the game that he would seek further clarification, but his special teams coordinator, Danny Smith, didn't disagree with the officials' ruling. In fact, he said the Redskins' similarly practice shoving a blocker into the punt returner, and Fox confirmed that it was not an accidental play on Teal's part. "Our guys are coached to do that," he said. "Anybody on special teams, our team, their team included. We understand that you can push a guy into the return team. It's a part of the game. You are able to block into them. That was an excellent play." why the hell are we challenging if we know this? danny smith seems like he's the smartest guy on the field. Zorn just doesn't get it
