Re: Now What??
Could have had Chilo Rachel or Jordy Nelson but no. We took the lazy guy who was a one year wonder. In all fairness Malcolm Kelly seems like he's going to be a pretty decent receiver. Still Mitchell should be allowed to be active though the reports of him killing our starting DB's seem to be a little less impressive these days.

Re: Now What??
Yeah, I may cyber-punch the next person who says 'Joe Gibbs started 0-5'. It's hard because we hadn't had any success since Gibbs, we need to realize the era of Gibbs and the Hogs is long over and done. I really wish Gibbs had not come back because it's like hooking up with a old girlfriend from high school. It seems like a good idea at the time and it's kinda fun, but not as much as the first time and afterwards you realize you were chasing a past you can never recapture. Zorn is rapidly descending into Rich Kotite territory.

I hate to say this, but I'm glad the Redskins loss. I mean at least with a loss you can be completely pissed off. Had they pulled the win, well we would have had another week of being pissed at the terrible playcalling/play of the team, but sitting at 2-1.

Re: Now What??
I do not know why I feel compelled to respond, but no it didn't. They beat Detroit 45-0 in the first game and went 11-0 to start the year.

Re: Now What??
I also want to point out that the 49ers focused on their O-line the past few years and as a result have looked pretty good this year. In fact I'm willing to bet their O-line was one of the main reasons they were able to compete against the Vikings today without Gore.

Re: Now What??
No it didn't. We were 11-0 at one point.

Re: Now What??
Ok, I'm trying to calm down. At this point if I was DS I would bring in Holmgren to act as an advisor to assist Zorn. If Zorn's not having it fire Zorn and let Holmgren take over the team. Keep Orakpo at DE full time, put Wilson at full time SLB and hope we have someone who can spell Wilson at LB periodically, play all our rookie WR's Thomas, Kelly, and Mitchell as much as possible so they are somewhat NFL experienced for next yr. I know Moss was not the problem but I would use him as a situational player only just to give the young guys experience.
Play Collins starting this week. JC is not getting it done. Start looking at other viable options for the right side of the O-line. Either trade out someone or bring someone from outside the team. Play Mason and Alridge for no other reason but to give them experience. Start Barnes, move Landry to SS, and bring in Moore or whoever is a true FS. Also stop playing players out of their positions like Landry, Orakpo, and so on. |

Re: Now What??
my point i've been try to make is right now if you replaced any QB with Campbell they would have the same garbage o-line therefore the same results almost. We couldn't block detroit pass rush!!!

Re: Now What??
Firing Jim Zorn makes little sense unless Vinny Cerrato goes with him and Dan Snyder completely steps out of football operations. Some here don't want to see that and think some of us are too hard on Snyder, but in his tenth year as owner, things have reached epic failure.
