Looks like we got another potential Reciever. Either way I still say that Hacket is the guy that gets the nod. Besides we can sign Roy Williams next year.

Muhammad market taking shape

Muhsin Muhammad | Bears | Interested: 49ers? Panthers? Redskins?
Muhammad is drawing interest from the Redskins, Panthers and 49ers, according to John Clayton. Muhammad was released by the Bears on Feb. 18 after three years in Chicago. The 34-year-old wide receiver spent the first nine years of his career in Carolina.

Javon Walker might be an option. I know he is kinda injury prone but Denver and Washington have been trade partners in the past so I wouldnt be suprised if they did it again.

Foxworth tired of Upshaw bashing - The Denver Post

Looks as if it's between chad johnson or javon walker being a redskin next year. I feel that both would be good, however chad johnson would definately be the better option. What do ya'll think?

Javon Walker would be the less expensive choice and would cost us less pick wise. CJ is clearly the better player but Javon Walker has been injured alot over the last 2 seasons.

Hackett would probably be the best fit, but Roy Williams is very tempting. I don't know why everybody is getting worked up about Chad Johnson, there is zero chance cinci is going to trade him.

Draft someone tall in later rounds with good character, and hard work ethic. Build him up from zero, on the cheap. If he doesnt work out, try again next year. Meanwhile, make sure you can't get some production for your investment with Brandon Lloyd. Don't draft anyone high. If we need a free agent wideout, he better be dirt cheap.

Walker bitched and moaned his way out of Green Bay and is now doing the same in Denver. For those that think that Lloyd was a locker room distraction, how can Walker be an upgrade? IMO, if Favre can't stand playing with you how could you expect JC?

Walker is a better locker room distraction but his rap skills were only a 52 on Madden. Hell Ethan Albright was rated higher.

Re: Which Current NFL Receiver Is Best for Us?

This is my first post, so here goes. Hackett is clearly the choice, he's big, fast enough to have made Springs his playtoy in the playoffs and he'll come cheap. We don't have much room under the cap and he already knows the offense. If the guy can stay healthy he'll help for sure. This move would allow us to draft DL and CB/OL and get a WR in the 3rd round?

What's the world on Hackett's durability? I heard he has had injury problems in the past.

Also, can people keep any Free Agent WRs postings to this thread? Thanks.

Re: Which Current NFL Receiver Is Best for Us?

for the money.... = Ernest Wilford..

For the play ... = Chad johnson

Who'd I really like to have that would be inbetween that money and greatness = Roy Williams

I honestly dont see us getting CHad or Roy.. So i think we really should consider Ernest Wilford.. I am warming up to hackett too, but I dont see why you cant sign both Hackett and Wilford...

Well the player that I suggested initially seems to be going to the Vikes. What is it with Berrian, playing for teams that have mediocre QBs??
