Jerry Jones wanted him.

He forced TO on Bill Parcels and this has either totally blown up in their face or is in the process of doing so.

Oh, and can we all just hold off on assuming T.O. is battling these serious depression issues until all the news is flushed out. Denials are flying left and right now.

SEA got rid of him. Why you hatin' on them? You should be hatin' of the Pack for getting him not SEA.

Re: ESPN Report: Terrell Owens attempts suicide

Recently T.O. during a very recent interview expressed regret to Deon Sanders for the way he handled things in Philly. He basically said he would have approached things differently with Donovan and wished that things didn't get out of hand the way they did. It aired about two weeks ago.

Re: ESPN Report: Terrell Owens attempts suicide

Did anyone watch the ESPN show on To's biography? He had a horrible childhood with his teammates making fun of his color and apperance... even spitting in his mouth while he was sleeping on the bus. Nobody should be judging him for what he is doing because he is clearly emtionally off kilter

Whether he is emotionally off kilter or not, we shouldn't be judging him.

edit: unless it's Jeremy Shockey we're talking about.

Re: ESPN Report: Terrell Owens attempts suicide

So does everyone who was picked on as a kid and everyone who had a bad childhood get a free pass to be a jerk as an adult? Do they get to behave and play by a different set of social standards? Maybe some people think so, but I'm definitely not one of them.

ps. this is a different issue than the alleged "suicide attempt" issue. I'm merely defending my stance that he's been a jerk for years. Obviously if he really did try to kill himself, I would agree that his life experiences could arguably contribute to that.

It truly is, and there's obviously something wrong up top with TO to render him that driven. While I've never been one of his fans as a result of his many negative antics he's still a human being worthy of human compassion. I truly hope none of us live a life deserving of some of the things I've read here. Please let none of the negatives be said of us. I'll continue to pray for the man, and hope he get's the help he seems to so desperately need.

I hear you--you make good points. nobody gets a free pass to be a jerk ... some people should get cut more slack than others though.

T.O. is an first class jerk, no if ands or buts, but to show no empathy for another human struggling like that is pretty low. To joke about it is reprehensible. Frankly, I am embarrased to be a member of this community right now.
1. Glad you caveated with the "if reports are true" because it's highly likely we're all getting worked into a tizzy over the 'ol rumor mill.

2. No one on this site is actually making fun of depression or people with depression, like your family members. It's simply a case of not giving him a "free pass" to be an ass. If Osama Bin Laden comes out and says he is depressed, do we forgive him immediately for 9/11 and give him a hug? (and you thought that the US Soldier - TO analogy was a stretch!?)

3. "Embarrased to be a member of this community"? C'mon drama queen - take a deep breath and float back down to reality, homes.
