He’s been linked to every team, because come on, who wouldn’t want him?! Your giants message boards chatter don’t make you the front runner.

New England trades for the rights to Calvin Johnson.... could be a great move, he is still in his early 30s, and just had 2 years of rest

Some of you guys are like horny 13 year olds who’ve never been on a date. Stop trying to hump the first chick you see.

Free agency spoils go to the teams who are patient, let the market come to them, and pounce on the solid players who after some time are starting to wonder if the music will stop and there won’t be a chair.

That’s how we got Zach Brown at a bargain last year.

Re: Around the NFL: Free agent signings 2018

If the Redskins don't sign anymore free agents, they stand to gain about 3 or 4 compensatory picks next year - mid round picks. That would be extremely valuable for the 'skins, and personally, I think that might be the wiser move than to go crazy for free agents. After all, all of these years, we kept saying that the 'skins are building the team wrong by trying to build through free agency. We've said all along that building through the draft is the best way to build a team, and I still believe that.

That being said, as much as I'd love to have Honey Badger, I would rather maybe sign Zach Brown and then get a handful of compensatory picks next year, and really load the team up with new, young players. Think about the money being saved.

I'm not saying he does not deserve 14M/y.

I'm saying, right now, we're not in position to spend that on 1 player.

That would leave us with about 6M ...

We're not going to address all of our needs through a draft in which we don't have a 3rd round.

Do you want Arie Kouandjio to be our starting LG? Catalina to be his back up? Zach Vigil to start next to Foster?

I don't.

For me, it's not about "saving money", it's about having legit starters at every positions.

Re: Around the NFL: Free agent signings 2018

I like the Richardson move. We might have overpaid SLIGHTLY. If he balls out bigtime then that could change.

Defensively Breeland and Compton are replaceable.

Zach Brown needs to be resigned.
Add Mathieu .

Barring injury... add a piece or two in the draft. Thats a playoff defense.

or we do more waiting. i dont think so the league is changing.

Hell no. I have serious doubts we can afford him but I do like that Bettcher's former players all really like him and want to play for him it says something.

It probably means he goes easy on his players and that projects to a soft Giants D next season.
