When all you do is get paid to make a kick during a football game then you better well make them. Defense and Offense players battle all game and sometimes it comes down to a game winning kick to decide after both teams played their butts off while the kicker gets to watch them. If he can't make the pressure kicks than he has to go now. Next season we can not continue to have a kicker that chokes under pressure and short kickoffs. He blew 2 kicks against Dallas and 1 against the Saints which would have been enough to win the game.

The answer to your question is 4 and considering that Florida, California and Texas are where the best football players come from, one would think it would be a good thing to have players from the sunshine state.

The U: Portis, Moss & McIntosth

FSU: Gano

How about Gano. Booming kickoff's and successful FG attempts is a good way to impress your new team.

I heard the coaches were upset with him, because they were calling for short kickoffs and he kept booming them.

Kickoffs were beautiful. Inside the 2-goaline/endzone and inside the leftside numbers. Left no room for the returner to run.

Gano looked good, he's got a really strong leg. Let's hope he can keep it going.

Yes, Gano did well. He'll have some more "pressure" kicks in the next couple weeks.

We tried too many Gators a decade ago...learned our lesson.

Looked great, FGs were right down the middle, kickoffs were great. Goes to show you that these guys are interchangeable - and you don't need to think about them too much. Drop them when they suck.

Re: Suisham released, Gano new kicker

I love our new kicker. It feels good to have a kicker with some hang time that can boot it into the endzone who also happens to be able to not only kick 23 yard field goals but 46 yard field goals.

Suisham = Good riddance!
