I'm just like everyone else, HIGHLY concerned... about the OL and just repeating last year's mistake with a young QB all over again 🤷
A little surprised there wasn't more movement to upgrade oline by Peters as long as it has been neglected here. I will remain patient though. They did sign some guys and more hopefully soon. Daniels has superstar and playmaker written all over him.

It's safe to assume they watched the tape, there's no way they don't know that Lucas/Wylie/etc. are garbage. Two routes here - either they think they can fix them or they are hoping to make more moves.

Or a combination of the 2. Either way, the unit will need to be improved. Daniels was the best qb in the country last year in D1 football. His oline definitely did their part. Most uneasiness going into season for this unit.

I think it's both. The new system, new QB, and new coaching will hopefully help - but they will always be looking for upgrades.

Luke McCaffrey has the second best 3 cone drill time among WR.

The 3-cone drill at the NFL Combine, also known as the L-drill, is designed to measure speed, agility, change of direction, body control among other traits

Perfect for slot type WR

Wow impressive stuff. Yes eager to see what he can do. I could see him being an Adam Peters home run selection in a later round.

I don't care about 40 times at all, as long as he catches the ball with minimal drops and collects first downs and touchdowns like they're going out of style. And his blocking gotta be good too. If he ran 4.6 but did all that I'd love the pick.

I think there is a disconnect as people think speed means separation. Freaks like desean Jax and t hill…of course it’s the speed, but most successful WR use technique and route running to gain separation.

it's a mix for sure - most straight track guys don't do super well. Usually WRs need a move/fake or some quick change of direction to be really successful.

I also like the fact that Luke McCaffrey is 6'2". We need taller wrs as Terry and Dotson aren't super tall although both talented. Ed McCaffrey was a pretty darn good NFL receiver for a long time. Cannot hurt at all. Interested to see what Luke can do here.

Looks like Forbes has dropped behind Mike Davis and is running with the 2s. My unpopular prediction for camp is that Forbes is traded if we're lucky and cut if we're not.

We don't have enough decent CBs to give up on a 1st pick so quickly. He needs some good coaching and confidence before we can see what he will become.
More likely Mathis, Davis, Forrest, Brown and Butler are traded/cut as they appear surplus to needs. Not that any of them will fetch much beyond a late round pick swap.

All those guys are ahead of Forbes at this point. If the choice is any of those guys or Forbes, Forbes will be cut.

Forbes won't be cut because he's a 2nd year first round corner on a rookie contract. Somebody will give up a late round pick for him. He also didn't look completely horrible last year so it's way too early to give up on him.
