This^

Eagles are gonna clap the Giants bussy this weekend. Can’t wait

And you have to go for 2 in OT, no extra points. How many times have we seen when teams got to OT now, aside from Chiefs/Bills...teams cannot score and it's just a puntfest in OT.
Yeah but as we all know in the name of "player safety" neither the players union or the league is going to sign off on a no clock OT.

LMAO @ "player safety". As if...

Fuck it, just flip a coin. Two out of three gets the W; or nominate one player from each team to play each other in Madden NFL, and they have to use their actual teams. Winner gets the W for their team, and no one gets hurt.

HaHa....

Unpopular opinion here, but I'm fine with the OT rules as they are. It's the regular season, if they can't separate themselves after 4 quarters + 10 minutes of football, I'd rather have it be a tie than have them play for ever or it being decided by a coin-toss-like gimmick stuff (I haven't watched 1sec of the soccer world cup, but if I was into this sport I would hate the fact that even in the playoffs a game can be decided by a rock-paper-scissors-like shit (penalty kicks)...)

The Tie will help us in the long run

They went to the 10 minute OT and permitting ties for a reason: player safety. It's going to be hard for the NFL to walk back on that one especially if they want to continue pushing towards 18+ game schedules.

The tie is here to stay and as weird as it feels, it's still a pretty rare occurrence. I don't think they need to address it and I certainly don't think they will.

The tie will effectively serve as a win against the Giants if we beat them our next game, in regards to having the tiebreaker advantage over them specifically, if we finish w/ the same record.

It could come back to bite us, if we finish tied in the loss column with any other teams.

But, it is what it is at this point. Win 3 of 4 (1 being the Giants), and we're pretty much a playoff lock.

I think two more wins should get it done, and three more wins would likely lock us into the 2nd wild card spot, 6th seed overall.

If we win 2, Pack are out even if they win their last 4

If we win 2, Seahawks have to lose 3 of their last 5 (panthers, 9ers, chiefs, jets, rams)

if we win 2, NYG have to lose 3 of their last 5 and we both end up 9-7-1

--------

Exciting times ahead

Offseason needs to include Oline and LB
Wish you guys could have beaten the Giants.

My solution: Field goals. If after the ten minute OT, it's still tied, teams take alternating filed goal attempts (22 players on the field, snap and hold, etc.). Start at 45 yards, then 50, then 55, etc. until one team makes it and the other doesn't. If both teams miss the 45, they do it again; a block/missed kick returned for a score ends the game.

I like that idea

Re: Mandos vs. Vagiants post game thread pt1

I don't mind both teams getting a possession. But if the opening defensive team gives up a FG, the offense has to score a TD. Otherwise they lose.
