Re: When is Enough ,Enough?
I admit...def triggered. When I see gop and supposed biased Fox News weekly disagreeing with the president I gotta call it out. Trump is one of those folks who kinda thrives in drama/conflict even when it’s his own party/adminstration. The fact is there are many within the gop who disagree with trump and we see it weekly.

Tariffs update..............
https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/l...154955816.html Business Layoffs hit, prices lag as tariff pinches lobster industry Associated Press PATRICK WHITTLE,Associated Press Fri, Sep 14 1:47 PM ED PORTLAND, Maine (AP) — The American lobster industry is starting to feel the pinch of China's tariff on U.S. seafood as exporters and dealers cope with sagging prices, new financial pressures and difficulty sending lobsters overseas. China is a major buyer of lobsters, and it imposed a heavy tariff on exports from the U.S. in early July amid trade hostilities between the two superpowers. Exporters in the U.S. said their business in China has dried up since then. Wholesale prices for live lobsters have also dipped a bit as dealers have lost markets. Prices in July and August were both slightly less than the same month in the previous year, business publisher Urner Barry reported. One exporter, The Lobster Co. of Arundel, Maine, resorted to laying off four people, which constituted 25 percent of its wholesale staff, said Stephanie Nadeau, the company's owner. "I can cut my variable costs and tuck my head in and see if this storm passes," she said. "What they've done is made it so everybody is fighting over the remaining customers. Price goes down, margins go down." https://finance.yahoo.com/news/10-co...183033235.html Time is working against certain businesses, however. The ripple effect stemming from the initial victims' struggle could take weeks if not months to be fully felt on other fronts. And new tariffs are being imposed. It will take weeks and/or months to feel their full impact as well, even as those outfits start to feel the early ripples. ........................gotta love trump.

Re: When is Enough ,Enough?
Didn't want to let this nugget slip by..............
https://www.nytimes.com/2018/09/14/u...plea-deal.html WASHINGTON — Paul Manafort agreed on Friday to tell all he knows to the special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, as part of a plea deal that could shape the final stages of the inquiry into Russian interference in the 2016 election. The deal was a surrender by Mr. Manafort, President Trump’s former campaign chairman, who had vowed for months to prove his innocence in a case stemming from his work as a political consultant in Ukraine. And it was a decisive triumph for Mr. Mueller, who now has a cooperating witness who was at the center of the Trump campaign during a crucial period in 2016 and has detailed insight into another target of federal prosecutors, the network of lobbyists and influence brokers seeking to help foreign interests in Washington. Mr. Manafort’s decision, announced at a federal court hearing in Washington in which he pleaded guilty to two conspiracy charges, was likely to unsettle Mr. Trump, who had praised Mr. Manafort for standing up to prosecutors’ pressure and had hinted that he might pardon him. [Read the court documents.] It is not clear what information Mr. Manafort offered prosecutors in three days of negotiations that led to the plea deal. But in court on Friday, Mr. Manafort agreed to an open-ended arrangement that requires him to answer “fully, truthfully, completely and forthrightly” questions about “any and all matters” the government wants to ask about.

Re: When is Enough ,Enough?
So where does everyone fall on the allegation against Kavanaugh, both on the political gamesmanship of the democrats and just on the concept of an allegation of misconduct from so long ago, (that doesn't involve clear and compelling evidence).
It seems to me as a extremely garrish political play, but do you all think it is a right move from Feinstein? |

Re: When is Enough ,Enough?
I "remember" going to a concert at the Capital Center around 18-19, drinking at the concert, being able to drive to the TGIF by College park by myself, drinking more, provoking a group of marines (who i guess thankfully didn't whoop my ass), and somehow drove to my home near Andrews AFB(at the time) in a drunken state.
I ain't never becoming a public figure LOL |

When is Enough ,Enough?
If at anytime in ones life - and i mean anytime- 15-21-75-105 you in anyway take advantage of or force yourself on a girl than you have absolutely no business being a figure of the law, let alone a Supreme Court justice. Should I have to even be pointing that out? So let them do their due diligence. After the travesty that was Merrick Garland- who to the best of my knowledge did not have any real skeletons in his closet - it is the least the God damned GOP could “suffer” through.

Re: When is Enough ,Enough?
Trump Tax Hikes are Coming.................
https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/t...194457071.html Ya knew it wouldn't be long,.........bye -bye tax cuts!!! The Trump tax hikes are coming Rick Newman 7 hours ago President Trump’s biggest political win, so far, is the tax-cut legislation he signed into law late last year. But Trump is now taking action that is essentially a tax hike on American consumers, and will offset a portion of the tax cuts he has been crowing about for nine months. And in typical renegade fashion, Trump is dismissing political orthodoxy by daring to hit voters with new taxes just weeks before a crucial election. Trump now plans to impose 10% tariffs on $200 billion worth of Chinese imports, beginning Sept. 24. The tariff will rise to 25% by the end of the year. That’s in addition to a 25% tariff on $50 billion worth of Chinese imports Trump imposed during the summer. So by Election Day in November, Trump will have placed new tariffs on $250 billion worth of stuff Americans buy every day. A tariff is a tax collected when imported goods enter the country. It raises the cost of the good by the amount of the tariff. So a 10% tariff on a $100 product would raise its cost to $110. Producers typically try to pass the added cost onto consumers, and as the cost of certain imported goods rises, the cost of similar products not subject to tariffs can also rise, since there’s less competitive pressure pushing prices down. The new tariffs will raise the cost of thousands of everyday items, including electronics, appliances, bicycles, tires, toys, clothing and footwear. Based on last year’s level of imports, the new China tariffs amount to a tax hike of $32.5 billion per year. If the latest set of tariffs rises to 25% and stays in place for 2019, the total additional tax would be $62.5 billion next year. The Trump tax cuts, by contrast, lowered tax payments by about $130 billion per year. So by this simple math, the China tariffs would offset about one-fourth of the Trump tax cuts this year, and nearly one-half next year.

You sound like a guy who refers to rape as “a cuddle with a struggle”. We don’t know if it’s true and the timing is odd but sexual assault is so common these allegations shouldn’t be disregarded. I was a bit too young to young to remember the Thomas Anita Hill thing other than the dude had a hair in his soda. That always weirded me out. Quote:

Re: When is Enough ,Enough?
.............again "she said". I don't know this women and nether does anyone else . I really have a problem with her story ,Punch you said it yourself "if"...sorry ,I need more than a "she said" type thing before I wreck someone's life from a supposed incident 30 years prior.
jamf, cute little phrase but what I said was..... "Sorry but two drunk teens at a party are equally responsible ...Or "irresponsible " might be better word for their conduct,we are not talking about forcible rape . This man as much as I don't like him and I don't...please make that clear, has been on the court for awhile work for other Presidents ....the women coming forward at this time now seems very strange." I as the Father of three girls take this subject seriously ,very seriously which why to me something just doesn't seem right here with this story...even you say .. I quote..."We don’t know if it’s true and the timing is odd but sexual assault is so common these allegations shouldn’t be disregarded. "end quote ... disregarded ........I never said that . I had the same feeling about the Duke Lacrosse team accusations.
