I'm not saying he's polished, nor is he NFL ready...but some coaching and some clip board carrying will do this kid wonders.

You need to ask yourself why Zorn was so high on him, and considering Zorn is a former QB, he obviously sees something some of us don't.
I think mauiredskinbarn (or whatever his name is) would probably differ. Why did you play football if you were 2nd team all-american at soccer? Did you get a chance to play to soccer in college too?

Meanwhile, Kyle Busch wins today at Talladega giving Joe Gibbs Racing a Sprint Cup win. This after Tony Stewart won the Nationwide race yesterday.

Good weekend overall for Redskins past, present, and future

Ok, now back to the draft

Re: The official 2008 draft discussion thread

I'm not a big fan of the Brennan pick at all. I think there were other guys that would have been a better fit. I'll be really surprised if Brennan develops into a quality player. The run and shoot guys rarely carry over well to the pros. Does anyone know of anybody that actually turned into a good pro??

No...Harding didn't have a soccer team, and I turned down a scholarship to Chicago institute of Art.
I didn't receive any scholarship offers to play soccer (back then it wasn't as big as it is now, most colleges don't have the money to offer scholarships for a soccer team). The day I graduated high school was the day I stopped playing soccer. I moved on to baseball and football.

Stewart was in an ugly wreck that started with Jr. though. He finished in the 30's somewhere didn't he?

Busch is off to an amazing season, and between all his racing mediums, he is having one of the best seasons for any racecar driver ever. Hendrick made the wise choice in terms of demeanor by keeping Mears over Busch, but not talent.

Why'd you turn it down?? You could've told everyone you played soccer at the CIA

LOL.
I wonder if they actually had a soccer team????
I know you were joking, but just to be clear to everyone else, I turned down an Art scholarship. I also had a partial scholarship offer to Monserat (sp?) college of Art in the Boston area, but I wanted to get far far away from my family at that time.

Stewart finished 38th. The big wreck started with Labonte I believe. The one that ended TS' day

Man, there seems to be a lot of talent that is going to be available as UFA's. especially at WR (I know were set there, tho)

Really? My wife said the same thing, but when I looked at it (admittedly only 1 time) it looked like Stewart and Jr rubbed sending Jr down the track then back up it. Labonte was in the mix, but it wasn't until after Jr. I thought.

Hold on I know I'm a little late with this but I must have missed something I swear we had two 3rd round picks? Where did the other pick go we didn't trade up?
