Don't feel guilty, at least one of them will set a career high.

I just get soooo sad watching career highs/franchise records set against us each week.

Re: Around the NFL- Week 3

Damn. Brutal hit on Darrius Heyward-Bey. I hope he's alright. I'm extremely surprised I'm not seeing any flag for hitting a defenseless receiver on the play.

Edit: He gave the thumbs up as he was getting carted off the field. Hopefully that's a positive sign.

I hate to speculate this, but I think this is a result of players pushing the limit with these replacement refs. There have been a TON of helmet to helmet hits and players leading with their helmets w/o any flags being thrown.

UPDATE: Hey-Bey was seen giving a thumbs up as he was being carted.

I think that's a very plausible reason for this. When players know they can get away with a lot more than usual, it's very feasible to see them pushing the limit.

Re: Around the NFL- Week 3

I'm not a Raiders fan, although I like DHB a lot from his UMD days, but I am FUMING over the lack of a flag on that play! WTF are these idiot refs looking at?!?!

Yeah, they could've gotten him for helmet-to-helmet or hitting a defenseless receiver on that one. Sometimes it feels like they are just standing there enjoying the experience too much to pay attention. Like the Steve Smith-Corey Webster wrestling match the other day where the ref stood right next to them and did nothing, it's ridiculous. I didn't think they were as bad this week as they were last week, but that's not saying much. They still aren't nearly as good as the regular refs.

Horrible PI call in the Denver/Houston game.

Pittsburgh is lucky as hell. They recovered 2 of their own fumbles that I'm still baffled as to how the ball bounced in their favor both times. This shouldn't even be a close game but damn it's good.
