My point is, there's a lot more wrong with the Jets then just the slow development (or dare I say, REGRESSION) of Sanchez. They are a team that has played in the last 2 conference championship games. The defense allowing a 95 yard drive in the final 2 minutes of a game is inexcusable.

That "much heralded" defense is "much overrated". THAT has been the reason why I think the Jets have been a average team this year, and it's not because of their QB play (which is lacking). It's been their defense. That defense the past two years is nothing like the defense that is currently on the field. Losing Shaun Ellis was huge, and his production hasn't been replaced yet. They are giving up a average of 117 yards rushing per game with a 4.0 average per carry. That's not a good defense.

They lost their best pass rusher in Shaun Ellis (to the Pats), but I disagree with you that they lack a "great" LB. David Harris is a beast and one of the best linebackers in the AFC. The problem has been their defensive line. A good/great DL will make your linebackers into All-Pro. You mention Ray Lewis, but the key to the Ravens has and always will be their defensive line. Even dating back to when Tony Siragusa and Sam Adams anchored that line, they have been top notch since Ray Lewis has been there. Had RL played at Detroit, he most likely wouldn't be 1/2 the player he is today.

The Jets were this close to a safety on that drive but Royal slipped out if the tackle. And then Revis decided to play the part of a matador

Losing Kris Jenkins also hurts.

Indeed... If you get a chance to look at the replay, you will notice that the Jets had their nickel personnel on the field for just about every play of the final drive. That is one more DB and one less DL or LB on the field - - against a guy you would pray would spend the drive on pass plays.

Don't know who decided to do that - - Rex or the defensive coordinator - - but that decision came back to bite the Jets in the butt.

Royal is very adept at doing that on that swing pass. Mike Shanahan exploited this skill of his at least once.

He wasn't really a factor in the 2010 and 2009 seasons. He played 1 game in 2010 and 6 in 2009 (Rex's first year), but he was beastly in 2008 though. Guy just couldn't really stay healthy, but he was good when he was in the game.

When Eagles' fans troll here they see their team called the Beagles.

When Cowboys' fans troll here they see their team called Cowpussies and Cowturds.

You get the idea.

If any of them are offended by that kind of name calling the advice we would give them is to stay away.

Perhaps that is good advice for you too?

Eh, the Eagles are much of a laughing stock. Any realist fan knew that what is going on with was very much a possibility. Meanwhile the Eagles were buying a SB (sounds familiar?) and it blew up in their face big time.

They are doing worse than we did. At least our "dream team" went 6-2 before collapsing. They started off bad, and might stay bad.

Im gud, Ill just keep doing what the f*ck i wanna do. Curmudgeon is an understatement.

It wasnt that i was offended, but somber realization. Most of there threads just clown Snyder, which is well deserved as his tenure as owner.

Re: Around the NFL Week 11

Speaking of Jets.

At least $75K fine likely for Rex Ryan of New York Jets, source says - ESPN New York

Quote:
"Hey, Rex, Belichick is better than you," the fan screamed to Ryan, who was walking off the field and into the locker room tunnel with the rest of the team at MetLife Stadium.

"Shut the f--- up," Ryan yelled back to the fan, who isn't seen in the video.
lulz
