Re: Redskins Uniforms
Anyone else see NBC's crappy-looking "Night Vision" replay?
Our pants glowed in the dark. Looked about as good as Tecmo Bowl though. I'm just relieved we won with a new uniform combo. Every time we bring out a new uniform, it gets spoiled by a BAD loss and we scrap them. The 75th Anniversary Lombardi uniforms, the burgundy-on-burgundy for the Steelers domination...then the Swinging Gate game. Now we can keep them...hopefully we do. We should wear burg-on-gold and white-on-burg.

Re: Redskins Uniforms
I was digging the unis last night. The socks - not so much. In my opinion, I think they should go back to the spear helmet with the darker burgandy jerseys and spears on the sleeves. For their away jerseys, have a white jersey with the spears on the sleeves like the burgandy ones. As far as the pants, I would like for them to go to a more metallic gold pants with a spear going down the leg or no spear. Maybe they can use a mix of white pants, gold pants and burgandy pants with or without a spear going down the leg. No striped socks. Just a solid color. Just my two cents.

Re: Redskins Uniforms
Yeah, the socks were the 70s socks but had too many stripes.
Go with these socks and the whole set will be perfection:

Ditto 100%. When the gold pants talk started I was truly hoping the team would suprise everyone and come out with actual gold colored pants like Florida State or Boston uses. Is there a reason we can't use two helmet logo's? Why not the "arrow" helmet with the burgundy over gold(not yellow)for home games, and the current logo when wearing white over burgundy for away games. In any event the change in uni's seemed nice/different and we won in them. |

Re: Redskins Uniforms
^ That COULD happen next year. We can't change our helmets or team colors without prior notice to the NFL...so maybe we'll apply for it next year.
These were the pants from the 75th anniversary set, so they were already approved and do go with our existing helmets/jerseys. The gold pants on Allen's desk were CLEARLY gold like in the 70th anniversary set. I saw a photo once...wish I could find it again.

Re: Redskins Uniforms
I could go for this logo if the helmet itself was actual gold. Say Florida State or Boston college gold with this logo. Then use the same gold for the pants. It would rock. Paint the face mask burgundy.

Re: Redskins Uniforms
While talking about uniforms...the Eagles DID look great in Kelly Green. I never thought they should have dropped it and still think they should go back to it.

Re: Redskins Uniforms
I too liked the Eagles old color scheme. Why they went to the darker green/blackish is unknown to me.
