Good for Fletch. I'm sure he'll take it anyway he can get it, he deserves it.

Ya stupid mistake but I'd still blame it more on the 6 fumbles than the one throw. I think 2 of them were in the redzone just one of those being erased could of won the game. There's always to many "what ifs" after every game so it's hard to pick one thing that caused them the game. Congrats to Indy and NO

For some reason, I didn't think that decision was that sinful. It was not good field position, they looked rush and out of sync, and Farve was just trying to make a play to pick up some yards. Probably shouldn't have thrown it, but damn if he was not making mistakes in today's game; it was those fumbles.

I wonder if it will be tumultuous offseason with Brett Farve?

Dirtbag 359....Combination of Howard Mudds coaching, Jeff Saturdays leadership, and Peytons ability to call the right protections. The third factor is something a lot of experts attribute to Mannings ability to avoid injury throughout his career.

On a separate note you guys are seeing now why I want the brass in the Redskins front office to draft a potential franchise QB if they think they see one at 4. See a dominant O-Line is awesome, but having a franchise QB for 10-15 years is golden. I don't see Campbell ever getting to that level where teams are terrified of him. We need to find someone that can strike that kind of fear into opponents, similar to what Ovechkin does for the Capitals.

There were 3 Lombardi Trophies won in this town and we never had a franchise QB. Joey T was as close as we got to having a franchise QB during our Super Bowl runs and they were still able to win 3. Now as you put it having a franchise QB for 10-15 years is golden. So gloden that it has only produced 1 Lombardi Trophy and now maybe 2. Winning and loosing is not hinged on the play of one person thats why they call it a TEAM sport. That's why you can have good players that play together as a team and they can produce more than the team that has that one franchise player that doesn't have players around him that understand playing as a team. Even the great Tom Brady couldn't have done what he's done with out a supporting cast. Its a team sport not a franchise player sport although they can be an great assest.

I had a bigger problem with the playcalling leading up to that INT. Were they really going to be content with a longshot 50+ yard FG? I thought they needed another 10 yards or so yet they played it conservative. With his ankle hurting he probably wasn't comfortable running, and even if he scrambled and got 5 yards it still would have been a very long FG attempt.

The playcalling before the INT was awful. They got very conservative, and for some reason went away from running it up the middle, which was working pretty well...except for the fumbles. Still, I feel that Favre's INT will overshadow the poor playcalling right before that (and the bonehead penalty of 12 men in the huddle).

Unfortunately it probably will. That and AP's fumbles too.

The Vikings probably should have won this game fairly easily, they just gave it away. I was surprised at how sloppy they were.

Pretty good coaching by Greg Williams too. He knew that he needed to get some turnovers cause his defense is not all that good. The New Orleans defenders were slapping and punching at the ball all game long. Plus I think the pressure they were putting on Farve might have cause him to make that silly throw at the end.

Great...now we have to hear about Katrina all throughout the Super Bowl broadcast.

Yeah I mean Katrina is so yesterday. They should just get over it already.

Still yesterday, they were bringing it up to remind us that Haiti was nothing, Katrina is still a mess!

I'm torn, I would love to root for Gregg Williams and even Brunell and Prioleau, but I am just sick of the "Saints are so strong they way they saved the city after Katrina...New Orleans deserves this!"

It makes me want to root against them.

Anyways, I want to see Peyton Manning win more SBs than Brady to shut the annoying Bostonians up.

Yeah I know, sorry I forgot my sarcasm flag with that post.

I was in New Orleans back in May of last year so I saw things firsthand
