That is what they are debating on Triple X ESPN radio right now. Questioning why he was at his Miami home, instead of being in VA or with the team, and the controversy around his past...I guess there isn't much to talk about with no update on his condition.

He was shot in his freaking home, it's not like he was out running the streets. I'm so sick about this.

Yeah... they're saying they "hope he was just an innocent victim in all of this" and that it "doesn't have anything to do with his past". He was in his home with his family in the middle of the night! Not out at some strip club. Fuck you!

Yeah, the media need to stop their speculation and just report the facts.

Acoording to news reports all over the web, he was in Florida to get another opinion on his knee injury.

Unfortunately, it's just rumor to this point, and while this would certainly justify his being in Miami, we aren't really sure.

Re: Sean Taylor Shot in the Thigh: CNN News

Well, they do have a point...shouldn't he have been with the team, or back in Virginia getting rehab on his knee? What was he doing in Miami?

While they are questioning his whereabouts, they are also praising him for his efforts and his play this year.

MSNBC is staying with the ST story. Looks like the Redskins are having a press conference soon.

Re: Sean Taylor Shot in the Thigh: CNN News

Getting shot in the groin, near the femoral canal, where the nerve, artery, and vein run, is potentially the worse location to get shot in the leg. One can easily bleed out and die from this sort of injury. From the information I have at this point, as a doctor, I would say his situation is dire. Jackson Memorial is a very good center down there with a very competent surgery department. All we can do is hope he makes it through surgery at this point...

Any thoughts on recovery from this? Will he be able to walk around without aid after surgery and rehab or is he likely to suffer debilitating effects from this? Forget the football aspect, this dude got shot in his own home; just like any of us could have been. That's what bothers me the most; if he gets shot running around doing crap he knows better than to do, ehh, tough sh*t for him. But to be shot at your house during what is arguably becoming your best year as a professional football player with regards to conduct and ability. That's tragedy.
