The reasons he was a big reach is that there was a consensus steal at the same position. Additionally the consensus had Forbes ranked as the 4-5th ranked CB which means more likely than not he would have been available 10-20 picks lower. IMO that combined with passing on the consensus steal makes it a big reach.

That said reaches can work out and steals can flop but you're not playing the odds well if you are going for the reach.

Based on who was available????? Gonzalez was available so no he definitely was not a solid pick.

Well that is true of any 1s-3rd round pick. The odds of Carter being a bust are much lower than the odds of Forbes being a bust.

Dude - you are the master of the depressing post. Is this SandtrapJack’s second account?

I was talking about his off the field issues. He looks to be Haynesworth 2.0.

Re: NFL Draft Thread

"Forbes, the all-time FBS leader in pick sixes (6), earned the 2nd-highest overall draft score (88) among cornerbacks in this year's class."

...but mock drafts

Re: NFL Draft Thread

Do the Chiefs fans know that Kansas State is actually in Kansas, and not Missouri?
