Re: Fantasy Tips

So, I'm struggling with who to start, we have a flex WR/RB position and my 4 backs are: Jones-Drew, Jamaal Charles, Jerome Harrison and Clinton Portis. Right now, Portis is on the bench, but I feel odd about it. I'm not certain how he'll be used. I feel like he was the only effective back, so I'd love to play him, but I just think the other 3 will have better days. I really feel like the only guy who could be discussed is Harrison, but Hillis is the backup there, I think he'll get the lion's share of the carries...aaaahhhh

Any advice?

EDIT: So, NFL.com has Harrison as a "Start Em" and Portis on the "Sit Em" list, so I guess I'm sticking with it.

Re: Fantasy Tips

Who are your WRs? Thats a very weak RB corp in my opinion.

Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of my team this year. I have Calvin Johnson, Percy Harvin, and Mike Wallace as my only real options at WR

Re: Fantasy Tips

i'd pick up tampa bay's mike williams if he's available in your league, and start him, johnson, and harvin.

He actually went pretty early in our draft. I don't know...I'm really over fantasy football at this point. It really takes away from the game for me.

yeah, I always bench any players on my fantasy team whose teams play the skins on any given weekend... no matter who they are. it completely ruins the game for me. id rather lose a week in fantasy football than want one of our opponents to have success against our team. the lone exception is kickers - i want them to score field goals, not extra points.

Yeah, a few years ago, I had Rudi and Chad Johnson (back when he was still Johnson) and they lit the Skins up. I needed them to, the game got me to the playoffs, I won the league and $900, I felt dirty for rooting against my team, though.

EDIT:
Also, this idea that it makes games more interesting doesn't hold for me. I like football a lot and I enjoy watching every game, I don't want to be worried about whether or not my guy is getting a goal line carry when a great game is on the line. It's just annoying to me.

All of these guys could have good years. I would say that you'll get better production out of Wallace once Big Ben returns. If healthy and if Favre is kept upright, Harvin could produce, and Megatron is a toss up I guess.

I gotta say, I think the only reason Portis is on the sit'em list is b/c of last year's performance under Zorn and w/ a crappy line. I am betting he has a great year this year. He starts as my flex back until proven otherwise.

Okay, tell me which two you start out of this set:

P. Thomas v. Minn
C. Portis v. Dallas
L. McCoy v. G.Bay
D. McFadden v. Tenn.
