I think you're on point about the staff side of things. Keim also said that any coach would have a staff in mind and would have presented that to the hiring group during the interviews. But for example, if Weaver is the guy, he's likely going to be dipping into the same coaching pool that others will be looking into, such as MacDonald and even John Harbaugh as he looks to replace the departures on his own staff.

Talking about San Fran, think Brian Griese is the guy they would look to for OC.

IDK if so why haven't we filed requests for interviews or do preliminary virtual interviews like was done with other candidates from playoff teams. Sounds like spin on the narrative coming from Ashburn.

At this point there is no need for deception games with other teams, we are the only one looking for a date.

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread

I would not worry about building the staff, remember we still have some good coaches in staff. They could keep Randy Jordan, Jeff Zgonina (played with Weaver on Texans) Kerrigan and a few others. For OC they could poach Griese or Fleury from the 49ers or Wes Phillips.

Well, Quinn is not who I hoped we would hire but at least this part is over now we can focus on the team.

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread

2 weeks ago we were raising heck about the possibility of hiring Quinn .. I made several post criticizing the way this went down .. I stand by my criticism and this looks like a Third choice last second Reach ..I would have been on board a lot more if they would have came out all along and said Quinn is the man that we want and gonna get .. I'm ok with Quinn not ok with the way it went down .. we shall see who is coordinator I'm guessing EB ??

Agree. I was hoping they would hire an offensive minded HC since today's NFL is an offense first league. The days of defense wins championships are over. I hope this works out.
