Re: The Saints come Marching in..
JD does an outstanding job picking up the blitz. Gibby is ok.
Id really like to see both these guys together.

Re: The Saints come Marching in..
Amazing what one win against one of the bottom feeders of the NFL does..lol. I was listening to Grant and Danny and they were talking about locking up TH to a long term deal.. lol smh. I had to turn them off after hearing that shit.
Atl probably has a worse d than we do. So far this team looks like they're just barely good enough to beat the worst teams in the NFL and can not compete w/ the best ones. Can you imagine how many points and yards the Cowboys are going to get? Green Bay? Tampa? KC? Pretty disappointing that we are this bad on defense. Teams look forward to 3rd and 10 plus. But TH is fun to watch even though he is limited. I just don't think he is the future by any means and the organization still needs to be on the lookout for a franchise QB. Just remember the Bills game. Remember how Allen played and then how TH played. . |

Re: The Saints come Marching in..
If TH plays at a high level all year why the hell wouldn't you lock him up? People can talk about limits all day, but if the dude proves he can play and stay healthy all year we'd be dumb to not move forward with him.

Re: The Saints come Marching in..
Heinicke is on a 2 year contract. Why the rush to extend him after 4 games and before next years draft?

Re: The Saints come Marching in..
Given this team's long history of mishandling QB's under Snyder I'm guessing this won't end well.

Re: The Saints come Marching in..
I'm not sure how this Taylor Heinicke ride ends, but I'm not committing to him for more than they already have - not yet. He's definitely a "gamer" as has been said multiple times, but I just feel like he's going to be good for 1-2 interceptions a game against mediocre defenses. He only has 3 through 3 1/2 games thus far, but I think he's had a couple overturned due to penalty, and several dropped. His style of play in the early going is both exciting and somewhat perilous at the same time. I'm sure it has a lot to do with lack of experience and the fact that the defense can't stop anyone - so he feels like he has to make up the difference. I'm hoping for good things, progression, stability, but we'll see. No reason to be talking about a longer term deal yet though. Fitz may very well get the job back next month...

Re: The Saints come Marching in..
Sometimes I'd rather be lucky than good, and while he's thrown a few that COULD have been picked, don't ALL QBs?

Re: The Saints come Marching in..
I hate playing the what if game. Let's focus what has actually happened vs what could have.

Re: The Saints come Marching in..
Amen.
Watching the game last night and both Stafford and Wilson had a couple dropped too. While I'm not ready to anoint #4, I'm getting close to saying he's worth a few more years on his deal. He's the best we've had since Cousins, which isn't saying much, but still, the offense MOVES when he's at QB.

Like I said, I'm hoping for good things from Taylor, progression, stability, steady improvement, etc., but we'll see how it plays out. No reason to be talking about a longer term deal yet though.

Re: The Saints come Marching in..
One thing that you can't teach at the QB Position is GRIT, Taylor has that! He's tough as shit and is a GAMER. It's no fluke that he has 2 game winning drives already in just 4 weeks. I have called him a Tony Romo 2.0 , a guy that got overlooked due to size and lack of arm talent but man he's got heart. I really do hope he becomes our guy for a while but again we will wait and see.
