We need to Nseke or Silverblunt back bad...but Catalina cant be on the field anymore.
Agreed. I think TJ Clemmings hurt us even more than Catalina though. He got beat so many times. And without any moves or anything sometimes. Just not blocking well.

I believe Catalina was the reason for the safety. He stayed on his block too long and never saw the delay blitz by the LB that was right in front of him. Hopefully Nseke is ready next week. We can't roll with this group and expect to beat another good team.

I think playcalling and clock management is always something that can be debated. What can't be debated is how hard these guys are playing. That means a lot. Not the case up in NY.

Re: Hawks post game

On the throw to Doctson on the game wining drive, Cooley sd Gurden called 4 verts and that he thought Jay knew Seattle would take away the check down and that would force Kirk to throw it long and take a chance.

Gruden, callahan, manunsky .. all deserve a ton of credit for game plan and working with what you have.

D game plan was beautiful.

Hard to tell from TV feed, but I think Josh Norman is a huge difference maker on this D in terms of what we can call, stay aggressive up front trusting the secondary.

Get healthy boys

Big shout out to Vernon effing Davis. Ballin out there. I was wondering where the screens are to CT, im guessing these new guys are getting coached and asked to do the basics and no way we can ask them to try and get outside and down field to block.

That game was won with heart, grit, and determination. If we are going to go 6-2 down the stretch we need to make some major adjustments on the offense and obviously get our oline healthy.
We got two against the Giants, and the Broncos. Those should be W’s. This next game against Vikings is at home and could be a code red. Saints, Chargers, Cards not easy but all winnable games. Dallas on the road is going to he tough. Going into Seattle would have been considered one of our toughest games left though. 6-2 is doable folks. Can’t believe Im saying that.
The first game of the year against the Eagles I was not too happy with the play calling. Gruden seemed to adjust his paly calling after that game and was mixing things up. I think with our injuries on the on line he was trying to keep things simple. When you start rolling out you then start asking your lineman to do more which he probably (for good reason) is not comfortable asking them to make those plays.

Re: Hawks post game

I still say we are an 8-8 team with the possibility of 9-7.

To win 10 we will have to go 6-2 and we still have a tough schedule ahead, it is possible but I'd be willing to say 5-3 at best.

Last week Norman shut down Dez so bad that Dak wouldn't even look his way, after some plays Dez was clearly mad at Dak but I'm sure the tV feed didn't show that. Josh is the best FA pickup we have ever had

Re: Hawks post game

After yesterday’s game the confidence of this team is through the roof, to beat Seattle with 4 replacement OL, no starting TE, WR, DL, etc. This is the game we have been waiting for, the point were a team realizes we are fucking good. Barring any more injuries and getting players back will make this team stronger and better. I don’t see 8-8, I see more they smell blood and are going to kick ass!!!!!!!!

My only problem with Gruden is that he knew his OL was weak, so he needed to run plays to mask that weakness. (rollouts/screen plays/3 step drop pass/etc)

Gruden most likely does not have a moving pocket in his playbook. I have yet to see one since he's been here.

It looked like Seattle was sitting on that screen to Thompson when they split him out wide. But a regular screen would have been good, as well as some more quick stuff.

Did not like to drop back pass on the goaline when Kirk was sacked for a safety. He has to know that the line may not hold up there and they didn't.

I don’t know, Wagner their LB was all over and stoned Thompson a few times.

Have to check but 99% sure that was Clemmings on the safety.
But Catalina played really really bad too.
