I think there could be some truth to it, I think some in the locker room are sick of the back and forth.
The general consconsensus that I've heard so far is the players like him, both publically and behind closed doors. Some guys aren't crazy about his tweeting, flashy ads, etc. And wishes he'd be a low profile guy who shows up on Sundays and gets it done then goes back to low profile... But they don't disrespect him or hate him, they realize that's the kinda dude he is and they respect that.

Good perspective from Rich Tandler

Re: ESPN reports that a) RG3 had "alienated" the locker room and b) that the decision to start Griffin today came from Snyder.

There's no doubt that some players would rather stick with Colt after winning two in a row with him. I think it's a leap to go from there to "alienated". Nobody who is around the team on a regular basis believes that's the case (the ESPN reporter who had the story is not at Redskins Park on a regular basis).

The incident she reported from Friday did happen but it had more to do with other issues and nothing to do with a lack of respect for Griffin.

Did Snyder dictate today's RG3 start? Don't know. Since Shanny left Schefty hasn't been very well wired into the Redskins organization but I don't think that he just made it up either. All I know is that Jay Gruden never ruled out today as a date for Griffin's return, even going back a few weeks when Griffin first appeared on the practice field.

It also should be noted that Schefty said that people "believe" the decision to play Griffin came from above. He did not report that it happened. Key distinction here.
